Always do the 24 hr research as the others dont give much at all unless you get a rare or elite 6 hr research.
I just discovered that the NOS Overseer rewards give Luclinite Ghost Angelfish and Luclin Silver Arowana, which, combined with a scaler give you fishing skill ups at a Fly-fishing Bench. Huge.
I'd be more specific as in what, 1-300 as a TLP'er or Live Player. If you play on TLP, nothing has changed. If you play on Live, things have changed You get 1000 mats 2plat each, very high combine, and combine doesn't much else, go that route, simple.
I'd say TLP is easier, as you will have bazaar access to all ingredients as you move through the ages. On live, anything pre-overseer requires personal farming.
Yeah I kinda figured my Artisans prize would never be max. pity for something that took so long to accomplish. Now I count on new expansions to up my skills. I seen my aug went up a level this expansion from them wheeee.
Make sure you get all the scribable books which add recipes to your known recipe lists. See Adetia's posts at the Township Rebellion website. Once you scribe all those books, you will have about 20-25 points in trades over 300 (assuming you have the needed AA ranks purchased, of course). Then work on fishing, that's an easy one to get to 350. By now, you will have the AP well over 50%, so that's a good start at least, with minimal effort
My heroics are at 81 on my AP not sure what percentage that is. I have scribed books for skill ups but need to look at the newer expansion ones to see what I am missing.
If your heroics are at 81, I think the max is 150, right? So you should be at 54% of max. From what I've read (and the fact that Adetia hasn't added any new books to the list in quite a while), I don't think any of the newer TS books add any recipes to your lists. My AP is currently at 58%, and that's with Fishing still at 213 (I never seem to get around to doing tradeskills ). My highest is JC at 324, mostly because there are a lot of recipes you can crank through very quickly and easily with vendor-bought mats, and which sell back for most of what you paid. So that's another one that's good to pursue. My lowest is baking (only at 305) which is ironic, since, after fishing, it requires the fewest recipes to gain a skill point. No, sorry, that's brewing. Baking is the third easiest to gain skillups.
I recently added pottery to my tradeskills and recorded the results in case anyone finds it interesting. I first got my trophy and then did all the rest of the combines with Unfired Spherical Bottles that have a 303 trivial. I have the Pottery Mastery AA which reduces the chances of failure by 50%. When I got to 300, I had the Expert trophy and it was 97% evolved. My base skill without the trophy was 307. Anyone know of a recipe for Pottery that is 350+ trivial that i can spam to get my pottery trophy evolved to max? Hopefully using Overseer rewards. I don't like farming if its possible
EQTC - Item: Unfired Sealed Blood Vial (eqtraders.com) You'll have to destroy the resulting item, but it's all vendor mats minus the foraged waters.
If your pottery skill is below 322 and you can find an Enchanter to enchant some clay, Unfired Obsidian Scale Tonfa Ornament could work. It requires Dream Dust, which can be pretty common in the bazaar. Figure on about 10 combines to get a trophy percent.
There is a reason that you should not buy the TS AA level 4, as it allows you to hit 300 and bounce to a new base skill because you learned a lot of recipes, and do not scribe all those books for sale in PoK and elsewhere until the trophy is maxed at 7 of 7. Being forced to find higher Trivial combines to get there can be a pain, once you have 300 and max trophy, start buying the extra TS AA, and scribe all those books.
