This new aug has the exact same damage proc as the Rallos Zek aug from many expansions back. This seems like an oversight. Edit: The attacker aug is also only 6%. No upgrade from Rallos version.
Was talking to someone about this yesterday. The group aug needs to be surge of ice III at 7k and the raid aug surge of ice IV at 8k so both have some growth over the ToV versions. 120 hme for casters is meaningless.
Group aug isnt going to leapfrog the last raid aug. Group aug gets the proc from the last raid aug, and the raid gets +1 better than the last raid aug.
The group Aug from this expansion is the same as the last group Aug from TOV expansion. 5 expansions back. Not comparing to raid Aug.
I got the impression these were not meant to be upgrades to Rallos augs but alternative ways to get them in modern content if you didn't play ToV and didn't want to go grind a very long quest from 5 expansions back. Would love to be wrong though and see a marginal dps bump.
The last set of new augs was a slight upgrade from the TBL ones, so I hope you are wrong about that and hope they follow the same pattern.
You're getting hung up on stuff you shouldn't be. The group aug should see 4 expansions worth of growth. When we get the raid drops the new raid one should remain ahead of the group (as I had listed) and be growth over the old. They should not remain flat and only be tiny stat upgrades. TBL group proc was 3600 and limited to resist type specific casts to proc. 4 expansions later The TBL group proc was replaced by a 6k proc from any detri spell (Anni aug that dropped last year) . Which does leapfrog the TBL raid proc of 4800 just as I requested. So I don't think asking for the ToV group aug which is a 5k proc 4 expansions later To a LS group proc of 7k is to much to ask as its the exact same pattern he already followed in NoS.
Same recipes as ToV. Replace tov gems with LS gems, replace Ice of Velious with 22k Legacies Ice on LS inn vendor if needed, replace ToV 18 aug mat with Acolyte's Focus of Legacies Lost drop from LS. If you already have the ToV augment that conflicts with new you have to delete it or put it in your dragons hoard before combine will work.
So, no change to the proc spell on this aug as of the January patch (it still has Surge of Ice I on Test). Hopefully this can be reviewed? It really doesn't make sense for a current expansion aug to have the same proc damage from four expansions (and 10 character levels) ago.

Ah, misunderstanding then. My post was quoting the reply to my previous one, who seemed to be trying to make the case that the new Augs are not upgrades because they are meant to be an option to obtain them without having to do the RZ ear quests. I was asking for evidence for that viewpoint.
Without developer input we are left to guess if the "new" aug's proc is a copy/paste error or intended to have the same effect and only slightly increased stats to catch up those who didn't do the Rallos quest line.
