Wizards are by far the weakest and least popular class in live EQ. Till Kunark expansion, they where great for raiding due lure spells. In live, there are no reason to play Wiz over other classes. That said, there is an easy fix. Make Wizards great evokers again. MAke their spells extremely hard to resist, bring higher level OHK spells like disintegrate. Also, make Wizards not only having an "school" specialization which will be evocation in every single time but also an elemental specialization so, wizards could "specialize" into fire magic, cold magic or arcane magic. That would make each wizard more unique. And they extremely mana efficient with their respective element.
I appreciate the idea, but it does sems that the devs do not lack for ideas on how to fix Wizards. We have given them SO many new and old ideas and even true mathematical spell fixes and so on. They just don't care enough to fix the existing class or the role fulfillment. It's very sad.
