Yesterday EQ worked fine (new update installed no problem earlier in the week). Literally no other change to my laptop, I only use it to play EQ. This morning I tried to log in and Launchpad won't connect. Things I've tried so far based on these instructions https://help.daybreakgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/217509478-Launchpad-is-stuck-or-won-t-download : Reboot Run as Admin launchpad.cache deleted I tried to Reset Internet Options (Control Panel --> Internet Options --> Advanced --> Reset --> Delete Personal Settings) but couldn't find an option for Reset. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Edit I've been in a hotel for the last couple weeks, and so don't have access to reset the router.
Did you take a look at this thread and check for "hung" child processes? Launcher issues. Cant get more than 2 characters in. | EverQuest Forums (daybreakgames.com)
I read everything I could find, including what you linked. I ended up fixing it by running compatibility mode for WIN 8. When I tried to log in to another account, I had to uncheck compatibility mode and now the launcher works fine every time...
