Golden Hero is that expensive because it was a recruit a friend promo from back in like 2013. It required you signing up 25 friend accounts iirc. There are whales out there that will buy it or people that have lifetime accounts that log in collect their DB cash and sit on a pile for a couple of years to buy stuff like that.
The Golden Hero's Forge suit in marketplace is $159.20 after discount. So go all access for $15 and save $39.80 and there is a boat load of LON packs from every release it looks like and those will have unique and rare items...............sometimes
They could sell 20 times more if they made it 10 times cheaper, but they don't want to, its not about the money. Its about making a statement: They don't want normal players and rich players to look alike. American holidays are all about celebrating capitalism. An ideology, where normal people and rich people have different options. They want the game to reflect that.

My number one complaint about these armor sets, especially the gold ones which I've bought a couple... the helm pieces are unusable except for cloth wearers. Most of the helm items in the game are flagged incorrectly as cloth, as holdover from old days where people didn't like to show their helm. We now have a toggle for that... My plate wearer's helms are flagged as cloth, despite the rest of their sets being plate and the graphic depicting plate. I had to claim the plate version, which naturally comes with a plate helm, that doesn't fit in the "cloth" helms. All of these hero forge armor sets should have their restriction lifted on the helm to fit into any armor type, or at least give you 3 different versions of the helm that you can then place whichever fits into the helm you're currently wearing. The helm is one of the best parts and is unusable due to items being flagged incorrectly. For spending $170, I would expect to be able to use every piece of the armor given, but that's not the case with the helm.
We have had a toggle for that for decades. What level are you and what is your helm. Because they were never flagged as cloth if they were plate. Now there may be some helms which can be worn by plate classes which is cloth; but typically they can also be worn by non-plate classes as well. If what you are claiming was the case, then this issue would have been an issue since the introduction of ornamentations, and the hats were the first ones introduced after the ornaments for weapons. I think that you are not actually wearing a helm that is part of any set but instead one which is a stand alone item which is by its name and/or description either leather or cloth. If there are any helms which look plate but are flagged as cloth or leather, then that is a bug.
You quoted me saying we have a toggle... I am aware and stated as much in my post. All of the PoP set armor and PoTime helms are flagged as cloth items. Also, helms for cloth, leather, chain, and plate wearers from LDON are also cloth. They have a plate icon, but are considered cloth, so none of the ornaments work in the items unless they are flagged as cloth or leather. Examples from a TLP. These are all parts of set armors, have a non-cloth appearance, but the items are flagged as cloth. You can see from the Allakhazam item info that's collected from their item collector. I've reported some of these over the last year. I think it was "working as intended" because a lot of people didn't like the helms back in the day, before the toggle. But it would be nice to get it fixed since TLPs are a thing and people play in these eras.
