I completed every step in "The Ice Moves" in Kael Drakkel up to the point where you kill Grand Armsmith Korin to loot the manual and notes. I killed him, looted both items, but the task did not update. It still says to pick up the notes and the manual. I tried dropping them and picking them back up, handing to my pet who returned them, and handing them to quest giver Beldikan who also returned them saying had no use for them. I was not invisible at the time and Beldikan responded to my hails with a "quit slacking and get busy" message so he definitely saw me. I also recamped the Armsmith and killed him twice more, but he did not drop the items on those kills. At this point the task is definitely stuck.
Sorry you're having issues, but it's odd I just did this quest this weekend for a friend and had no issues.
