burtwardToday at 10:27 Dear Sirs, I have been hunting Vaniki or The Fabled Vaniki in Dragon Necropolis on the Firiona Vie server for my Hunters Achievement of Dragon Necropolis for several days and the npc never spawns and i never find him up wandering around. I use my Ranger and have tracking on the ranger but he is never up while i hunt and kill there to find him. Please fix this please, its a hunters achievement for a Everquest quest achievement it should not be this hard to find a mob needed for it. I am wondering if he is bugged maybe? Thank you very much I first submitted this to a game programmer opening a ticket and they recommended me sending this to you because they believed it was a bug also. I believe vaniki or the fabled vaniki is bugged some how and this hunters achievement quest should not be this hard to complete . Thank you very much
I didn't see him during this year's fabled, but I completed the achievements on 11/07/2021 and 03/04/2022. I wish you good luck.
There are five spawns that can appear as Vaniki. The respawn time is 122 hours. Each spawn point has a 10% chance to spawn as Vaniki. Vaniki is unique, so there can only ever be one of them up at any given time. If the spawn is not Vaniki, it will appear as an unkillable invisible man placeholder. In either case, Vaniki or placeholder, the NPC will despawn 122 hours later. This implementation makes the Vaniki NPC rare and essentially uncampable. When these 5 spawns initially trigger (not when the zone comes up - there is a delay before they will appear) there's a ~41% chance that Vaniki will be in the zone. 122 hours later, if there is no interference, all 5 will despawn, and 122 hours later they will respawn. Each spawn location operates independently of the others, making the behavior of the system more complex if Vaniki is killed since the slain spawn will no longer occur synchronously with the other 4. It isn't a bug, Vaniki is stupid rare, and you can't camp him. You can't kill his placeholders, you just have to check every once in a while and get lucky. Really lucky. Even though I personally have killed Vaniki and got the checkmark, I would have no problem at all making Vaniki an optional checkmark in the hunter achievement.
The Fabled Vaniki spawned on Xegony on the morning of May 4 (5 days ago) so the spawn is working. Ok Thank you , it took me a couple of weeks camping there but he finally spawned and i killed him, still 2 weeks camping and hunting there but finally.
