Coming here from EQ2

    Anyone got advice? I'd assume this is more of a "classic" pre-WoW style MMO with more complex stats and mechanics (SWG, Anarchy Online, etc..) What server should I join?

    Rizzo, welcome to EQ1. I spent many years in EQ2. EQ1 is a far more complex game that at first feels like putting toy model/replica together without any instructions or pictures.

    Thankfully, the deeper you go, the more rewarding it gets.

    Lesser graphics, slower to level up.

    After a couple of months playing in EQ II, I prefer EQ II. I have Inn rooms, prestige houses, and multiple mounts.

    Here you can go around without island/continent hopping. More land travel as not all areas have portals, here they are called POK books. Whichjj stands for Plane of Knowledge.

    In EQ II, for those umfamiliar with it, swimming and portals are a necessity.
