@devs Selo AA Exp not effected by bonus

Sorry but this is not correct. anyone who pulls mass amounts of mobs at once (Aoe groups) Can clearly see the exp is not working as intended. I know for a fact with no pots on Agnarr and pulling a whole side of the deep it equaled to 2+ aa's a pull, here we are getting just under that WITH the bonus currently.

Please go back over your "behind the scene AAxp" and do the math again.

I'm sure most will agree, we did NOT come to this server to grind in groups more often. we came for the faster unlocks and more raiding(Hence the half raid lockout timers) Which keeping up with aa's is unlikely unless you are in a AoE group 24/7.

The time is ticking on this fix we need it sooner rather then later, Updating us on a consistent basis would go along way too.

There is a huge difference between complaining that at current rates with the bonus from the event that players will be unable to keep up with content releases and begging to be maxed out for free. Calling people out saying they are trolls when you are obviously here to troll

Um he does actually. He also said he thought it should be faster in literally the exact same post that you quoted. Your quote was just him mentally walking through the current reality. Of all the posters at whom you could have directed your rage, this was an odd choice.

I have the logs i mentioned earlier. TLDR EXP on SELO's WITH 50% bonus is WAY worse than EXP on Agnarr in Luclin.

So i found the EXP rates from an AOE group in the deep on the 10 Feb 2018 on Agnarr. I have more but for the sake of this forum all you need is this snippet. It takes 87 Kills of mobs in the deep in an AOE group to gain Alternate advancement point 4 through 5 at level 60.

On Selos in the same camp the AOE group in the deep took 102 kills to gain AA 1 through 2... AT LEVEL 56. With the bonus exp going and the supposed faster exp rate on this server.

Full proof in the form of logs is available to any Dev that requests it.

I didnt say the exp was acceptable, I have been arguing it isnt this whole time.

I said 2 4 hour sessions should net you 10-15 a week depending on group makeup etc.

2.5 % a kill is what I am getting now without a potion. thats aprox 40 mobs per AA, to get 10AA per TWO 4 hour sessions a week you need to kill 50 mobs an hour... That is not at all unreasonable for a decent group.

I am sure there are groups killing faster then that.

This rate is to slow for a 1 month unlock server, regardless of whether or not it is "the correct working as intended rate".

Cool story, I especially like the part that shows 100% to AAxp, and what mobs were being killed.

I think people are having such a strong reaction right now because we have a 50% bonus running right now and when that runs out it will be like hitting a wall. I haven't made it to AA levels yet but am hoping to continue with the server when I do

Heres some general numbers/feedback for you mepps.

My sk needs aprox 102 AA to get all the "strong AA" for luclin. he then needs an additional 90 to get the rest of the feels good AA (ext enhance, run speed, etc). This is not counting stats, resists etc.

So at 1.5 AA an hour, which I think is a reasonable clip (reasonable meaning what a decent group can do, not a reasonable rate for the server) once the bonus leaves, thats just shy of 70 hours. That is on top of trying to keep up with raiding. Add another 60 hours for the feels good and thats 130 hours.

Thats aprox 4 hours a day or 26 hours a week spent grinding AA, If we were to start RIGHT NOW.

Just some number to chew on, im sure some groups will be able to AA at a faster rate then this, but thats about what I could do "right now", granted it will go a bit faster with more AA/better gear, but I dont see the rate more than doubling, if that.

Should i expect to get all of them, maybe not, but even half is a hell of an undertaking.

the reg AA xp isnt even close to Agnarr's regular xp and this is supposed to be bonus xp, i have 40AAs, and on agnarr i feel like id have 100+ already with same amount of time and effort. Both regardless are supposed to be even faster than agnarr. something is def wrong with AA exp, the Regular XP Bar seems to move faster than ever before

This is a post I can fully get behind! I have never been against raising the xp rates, and I think this is a wonderful spot to start thinking about where rates should be.

Thank you for the update. Please note that many of us really enjoy this server’s rule set and would love to see it through to the end. If things are in fact as intended, I recommend changes be made sooner than later, as a significant drop in server population before the first expansion release would be a pretty big disappointment to those of us who wanted to be playing on Selo til Live.

Selos is set up at double speed, but only 1/3 of the time. that seems wonky, youd think youd want triple the speed for 1/3rd of the time

I chose Selo for the fast exp. I liked the idea of a server that was likely to see later expac (after PoP/GoD) with a healthy population. And so far I've had alot of fun on that server.

I havent started AA exp yet at level 54, but I dont plan to if it's the same speed as people have reported, as I have already done that exact same grind on Coirnav recently and i'm done with it.

I really hope Selo gets the faster exp/AA progression that will keep the server well populated.

Now we're getting somewhere.

I was expecting to get around 10% aa xp with the 50% bonus and around 7% with out . that would make grinding fun and feel like i've made some progress . Gaming is just so much faster now . I never could make it past level 20 on a TPL cause the exp rates where just to slow it wasn't fun. Selo's looked fun because faster name pops faster xp . and leveling up the exp has been fine , i mean so far with names and leveling it felt like were running fast on a treadmill and soon as I turned AA on it was like someone turned the treadmill off and i just slammed into a wall.. the game is not fun at the current rates.
