Launcher download is throttled

So I'm trying to download Everquest and it's excruciatingly slow, like it'll take literally days at this speed despite a 100 Mbps connection. Clearly something's throttling the download. I recently moved and have a new router, and I think it has something to do with that but I don't know enough about it to figure it out.

My router is a TP-LINK ac750 archer c2. I tried looking up how to open ports and I set up a port forwarding thingy for the port that it says LaunchPad is using in the resource manager, but that didn't help and I don't even know if I did it right anyway.

    What do I do?

Do you have a wireless card and a hot spot on your phone you can test it against? Just to rule out hardware? Have you reinstalled the program recently or made any changes to it?

I've tried to hotspot my phone's 4G and the download speed is fine there (for a phone), but not when I connect it to the broadband or whatever, because then it just goes through the router. So it's got to be something with the router itself. I have no way around the router, it just goes into a plug in the wall. I've tried connecting it to the computer via ethernet instead of WiFi but that makes no difference. This is pretty much the extent of my IT knowledge.

It's not bandwidth control. That's not enabled, and besides this problem only occurs with LaunchPad. I can download anything else fine, just not Everquest.

    UPnP was already enabled.

I'm at a complete loss here. Haven't got the faintest notion what could be wrong.

This problem is unique to Everquest, I have no issues anywhere else.

Can you run a traceroute to everquest.com from the command line?

    tracert everquest.com

    Post your results here.

you are literally routed around the world....

From a security standpoint I would never enable UPnP on a router but to each their own.

Well its not your routing. 200ms may not be the greatest but its far from unusable.
