The char select screen remembers the position of your last logged in char. So say your main toon on one account is the third down, if you log into another account the char that is 3rd down will be selected. If you only use 1 account the char select screen should always show the last logged in char.
It always defaults to the last character I played on every account. If this is different for you it might be a bug or something? This seems to hold true for all of my accounts and I am usually logging in 8 accounts at minimum when I am playing.
This is how it works for me too. Only additional consideration is if you have multiple installs of EQ, then the "Last played Char slot" is remembered for each instance. IE char slot 1 on /Everquest folder, char slot 3 on /EverTest folder, char slot X on /EverBeta folder.
It probably does that, so they can make facebook use the data. If you played a necro, when you go into a homepage, there will come an advert for a coffin seller or tombstone seller. Ranger/druid, some advert or thing for Green Peace. And if your last char was number 5, it comes with an advert for some Casino, where you see the roulte come Down on number 5. This ofc. pure fantasy, and not happening
It does both for me Just logged into one account that had been in baz and the char listed was baz toon then went to log into my other baz toon on another account and it did not show the baz toon so had to switch to that one. Sometime it shows a char I have not logged into for months. So I think Eanelder might have something there about the folders.
It's the last slot that was logged in for me, regardless of which account. After I log in my chanter on my second account, when I log my main account back in, that's the slot that it's sitting on. Only exception is if I log my main account on, then my second account. Second account only has 2 characters, so if I'd previously logged in any toon beyond that, it cycles to the first slot. *shrug* I always thought it was pretty self explanatory myself.
Yup always he last slot I logged out on or immediately logged in after the first account logs in previously if I am logging in multiple accounts.
