I'm getting this error on my laptop after the patch, the desktop PC works ok. Is there a solution for this? I've tried updating graphics drivers, but no luck.

in the beta patch notes they said so i would guess the DX9.0C june2010 version should do the trick https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 not sure if my link works with anything later than win7 however edit: might be the same version as elizabeta linked....not sure what version the webinstaller installs... have not tried any of the links myself, only guessing....
I tried using the link provided, but received an error that the installation failed and to check the dxdiag.log. I don't have any logs. I just did a clean install of windows 10 to update my computer. Dxdiag reports no errors. What am I doing wrong? I am getting the error: Failed to load the graphics dll when I try to start the game.
If you used the dxwebsetup.exe (small download) it can freak out at times. Download and use the redistribution file. Once downloaded, click on it to unpack it. Put it in a location you can access later. Once unpacked go to that folder and double click dxsetup.exe.
