Is it a natural random event? Maybe someone can press a button to cause this to happen?? If not, why not? Maybe there could be a super rare drop where you could get a few charges as god or if you were first on your server to complete progression of the latest expansion.
Druids can make it rain. And there is an item from cotf progression I think it was that allows you to make it or stop the rain. And what makes it rain normally is prolly part of the zone script. Either that or an invisible npc.
I had always heard that whenever a Ranger died... It rained in the Karanas. Must explain all the recent flooding!
So you are saying it's possible I made it rain in Karana 3-4 times yesterday dying on my Ranger main trying to kill gut crabs in Tempest Temple doing quests for the Darkened Sea progression. lol... maybe I already am God? @Fanra I was searching around trying to find out how druids could do this but could only find a 50ish level spell that stops it....
In game description: Channels the will of the Rainkeeper to change the weather in the current zone. Consumes an opal when cast. Doesn't say it's only stop. And official name for SPA 93 WeatherControl
So you are correct again. I guess I was reading the comments which only talk about stopping the rain. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=1725#Comments There is also a Meteological Rocket made by Gnomes posted in the comments. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=16643
Feel free to log on a druid and cast Wake of Karana ... the description isn't inclusive. Other items may do both.
I finished all of the Missions in CoTF up to and including Tower of Rot. Some where along the way I did get a clicky that makes it rain, or stop raining.
Orb of Calm Tides (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=114663) if anyone wants the link.
