Servers coming down again?

just got a notice in game

DBG considers you with indifference -- How long do you want your servers down?

Someone mentioned in PoK their guild was gone after the patch.

A lot of guilds are gone, and guild neighborhoods. This downtime is to fix that, according to a message in another thread.

Both the guilds I have characters in are among the missing.

Yes last nights patch deleted about 80% of the guilds server wide so this is an emergency patch to fix it.

What notes, haha

If you have to take the servers off line to do it, it's pretty much not called a hot fix anymore. But to answer your question, they probably don't want to post an estimate (otherwise referred to as a W.A.G.), have it be wrong, and give people more ammunition for complaints.

DBG absolutely must fix this guild problem, or they will lose half of their player base. They cannot afford to not fix this problem.

AGREED. But a time estimate would be nice too.
And a mere promise to fix it during the wee hours of the morning would have been enough to stop the screaming.
