Hint: You can watch this thread and even get email notifications once something is posted here. Please be advised that we will not announce every event for several reasons (surprise being one of them *cackles insanely*) and that sometimes circumstances keep us from running an event at the promised time. But of course we will try to announce as many as possible and stick with the times. And to make something clear because it apparently is a big misconception: NO, I am not good for punting. Despite popular belief there are Guides on Xegony who drop cookies and milk if held upside down and shaken. *whispers innocently*

Seriously, why are Everquest guide events being announced on a completely different forum from all the other Everquest talk? Why would I want to go to the guide forums? And once this posts falls off the first page (again), how will anyone know to go to that random board to get guide event info? Throwing the event announcements over there might as well be suppressing the guide announcements completely. If you weren't reading the vet lounge for the 3 days these posts were on the front page, TOO BAD. If you were, and didn't bookmark a completely separate and otherwise useless forum, TOO BAD. Guides are just volunteers, they do deserve some better engagement with the EQ community than what they've had to deal with over these recent forums "streamlining" processes of smooshing a bunch of board together and then punting the guides completely away from the community.
Well, you know, it doesn't directly make money so DBG doesn't want to be associated with it. Next thing we know guides will have to start paying extra to volunteer (if they don't already do that) and be to to feel free to re-roll a new volunteer program.
Agree with everything Illa said, bring back the guide section of THESE boards. Also, anyone else find it amusing that the separate forum they're telling the guides to use has Sony in the url and the SOE logo everywhere? It's the default board avatar there, for example lol.
