I'm currently looking to return to the game from a 6 yearish hiatus. I used to main a ranger up till endgame SoD and have made a few trips back to toy with the ranger. I want to start semi-fresh. I am looking into a Heroic toon to play, but what I am mostly looking for is a well populated server, or perhaps specific casual guilds that are active and look to bring in new or returning players. I have quite a bit to catch up on and such a guild/server makes it so much easier to transition back into this game. So, any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cazic has a decent sized population, friendly people... great open-Raid team "Freelance", plenty of guilds to call home.
I am currently in process of loading game and returning. I was always a firona vie player but may give rathe a try since having good friends to play with is what is most important. In past I played a gnome enchanter: Gnomesweets, gnome mage: corinthos, and a human cleric: Annikah. I am thinking I may come back as a dark elf or drakken. Hope can have lot of fun. I've always been a tradeskill addict used to conduct wedding celebrations with my gnome mage and fireworks on firona vie.
I am also returning from a long absence from the game. I really know very little about guilds or even grouping. Last time I played was with my sons (both all grown up and have moved on) so don't even know how to go about meeting folks and/or grouping. Looking for some advice on where to start for friendly folk who don't mind a lot of questions.
So, i'll toss this reply up for the few of you looking to come back. I took Roxxanna up on the offer to start on Rathe and join The Eternal Darkness. I don't regret a thing. I started a heroic toon, and have managed to find groups each day that I have played, as well as there always being people on. Usually between 20 plus at the times I play ( 4pm - 10pm pst ). Great guild, friendly people. I recommend it to anyone returning.
I too am trying to return to the game. I am behind the population so can't group and will have to merc-solo or two-box. I am also excitedly awaiting starting over on the new progression server early this summer.
