Question: EQ gold = LoN gold?

I wanted to know if i pay for monthly gold membership for EQ will it make me quote unquote gold on LoN to where id get monthly packs and all. I was wondering sense their linked

I don't know what LoN gold is because I only use it to open packs and claim loot cards. A recurring gold subscription (not Krono) in EQ gives you monthly LoN packs.

You get LoN cards from having a gold account? Has this always been the case? I've never gotten a pack. Do I have to retrieve them from someplace?

Yes, inside of LoN, you have to claim your 5 free packs per month or they poof

I log into LoN maybe twice a year and open dozens of packs at a time. They do not "poof".

Monthly LoN packs are awarded the first time you login (to LoN) each month with a membership.
If you don't login at all for a given a month, you miss the packs for that month.
