I did not put this in the Priest forum because it also includes rangers. I've noticed that lately my attempts to cast Flight of Eagles on people have found it blocked by Necro DMF and, now, I would guess, Perfected Levitation. While I understand that because Perfected spells last longer, they might be considered "above" on the blocking. But this prevents eagles from landing. My suggestion is just do what has been done with the cleric spell haste spells. Allow all levitation spells to land on you. Then the individual can decide which one(s) they want on themselves. Thank you. EDIT: I have no idea exactly what is going on here. But I was unable to give someone Flight of Eagles when they had Spirit of Eagle on them. I retract some of what I said. I can not reproduce this.
I can confirm that Spirit of Eagle and Perfected Lev do indeed still stack. Not sure about your other conflicts .
Let me be more clear. If you have eagle cast on you first, you can get perfected and have them both. But once perfected DMF is on, eagles is blocked from being recast / cast on you. And it seems to only be the group versions of DMF / perfected. And maybe just the AAs. I really don't know exactly. But my spell is being blocked. Wait, just tested and Spirit of Eagle was blocking Flight of Eagles. Which is the opposite of the way it has been for years. Ok, tested again. It was only one person who the Spirit they had, cast by someone else, blocked my Flight of Eagles. Since I'm level 100, that should not have happened. So, I have no idea what is going on. I do know that recently in the past I've noticed that group perfected DMF was blocking eagles.
I can't remove this thread. I've got no idea what is going on with this. I just assumed the Perfected group DMF issue had spread to other levi. SOE, feel free to remove this thread.
AA Spirit of Eagle is better than either Flight of Eagles, which remains better than the spell version of Spirit of Eagle.
I've noticed this for some time now, if I have FoE on, DMF doesn't dispell it but I can't refresh FoE. It surprised me when it first happened, but doesn't really bother me one way or the other. Think first time I noticed it was shortly after CoTF part B came out.
^This. I didn't know the AA version had different speeds. How SOE managed to take something that druids have been complaining about for years (the difference in speeds between the spell Spirit of Eagle and spell Flight of Eagles causing overwrite problems) and make it worse, rather than fixing it as we requested, just boggles my mind. I know druids are the red-headed step-children who get ignored but since this also affects rangers, I thought maybe they wouldn't make things worse. Please Devs, let me make it simple, since years of requests seem to be ignored, and let me try one more time: Just look at the fastest speed eagles you have (spells and AAs). Now go make all the eagles spells and AAs that speed. Problems solved. No more issues with being unable to overwrite.
The problem is, i think, more with the perfected DMF AAs blocking the eagle buffs from landing, not the spell DMF. I think perfected DMF also blocked cast of perfected levi from landing, last time I tried. It's a bit odd as you can get eagle, perfected levitate, and then have perfected DMF stack on top but can't do so in reverse order.
