So something has been bothering me, no idea why to be honest, but it has... Back in Kunark days when I started there used to be a slogan that could be found on the boxes I believe, and even ingame. It was "You are in our world now" does anyone know why they discontinued using it? It just makes the game sound awesome, I kind of miss it.
Main guess is that was used to describe every nerf and change that people didn't like. No more ability to fearkite, You are in our world now! No Druid mana regen again, You are in our world now! Is also possible they just got tired of using it though
Well that and "The Vision (c)" seemed to have gone away, perhaps like was suggested and became associated with a negative stereotype. It's also possible that when once all the MMO-addiction stuff started coming out, that EQ moved away from promoting the game as an escapist adventure that you get "sucked into" or "trapped". That's just my personal shot in the dark though, and most likely incorrect.
