Are you asking if this is bugged or how is the cotf bp better then the rof bps?? Only thing i got from this post is the old world icon graphic and u want that to be changed.
That it was explained to me is, its a wrong word choice... RoF bps took the damage of your base ethereals which in case of the your group was 45%-80% so the damage would be - base 25747; 37333 - 46344. CoTF bps adds the 4% to the ethereals base, so: 25747 is actually 26776, the 26776 is then modified again to the fire/cold/magic modifiers on your other slots ie arms for fire. group gear arms increase fire spells 46-70%, so tied with the CoTF bp ur fire ethereal is- 37486 - 45519 in retro spec with group gear clearly its a better base cause it gets modified twice but the top end isnt as good, but the higher your arms focii the better the damage is, ie raid gear etc etc
The RoF focus didn't stack with normal damage type focuses so while robe focus was greater and was used for ethereal spells the actual damage increase was fairly small. Because without the robe you still would have gained almost the same focus amount from arm, hands. helm. The CotF robe increases base damage of ethereal spells and stacks with normal worn spell damage type focuses. The base damage will also be boosted by crits and other damage increase effects and provide a far larger increase then the few extra % of worn spell focus that RoF robe does. Twincast > Base Damage > Everything else.
