Some mobs in Shadow Valley (e.g. beetles, lurkers) have ridiculous melee range, several times their model size.

The mob on the screenshot is hitting the tank standing this far away from it. However, to be able to hit the mob, you have to walk up right next to it. The tank cannot hit it, the melee player standing next to it can.

Please reduce these mobs' melee range to the same distance as where you can hit them from.

This is a common issue where the distance an NPC can hit a player from is larger then the distance a player can hit the NPC from :(

    Can demonstrate this quite simply.
Have a tank stand in one spot and agro an NPC from range.
Probably 90% of the time the NPC will run to the tank and stop just outside of the tanks melee range and proceed to beat the heck out of the tank while all the tank sees id 'your target is out of range'.

Is that a merc tank or an illusion? Ran SV twice, pet tank, never saw a mob melee at distance. Are lurkers casters? Were you spamming a stun or anything affecting the mobs run speed?

Of course you dont see a problem with a pet, the pet will auto relocate until it's in melee range.
    Svann2 and Angahran like this.

No, that's a player using an illusion. But it's the same without an illusion.

The lurkers and beetles are not casters. The mob is not stunned. It is meleeing the tank. From that far away.
