Rogue Equipment Question

which is better DPS combo?

Ifir, Dagger of Fire & Salindrite Dagger

or

Ifir, Dagger of Fire & Ivory Hilted Cleaver

I personally went with Ifir, Dagger of Fire & Ivory Hilted Cleaver

Never been a fan of slashers as a rogue, but just by looking at the ratios and stats it's probably the Ivory Hilted Cleaver

I must agree with Vithika. Having played Rogues extensively since the dawn of EQ, I prefer 1H piercing weapons (both hands) for a rogue but if I were to use a slasher, in my off-hand, and of the choices you give, the Ivory Hilted Cleaver would be the better than the Salindrite Dagger. The one thing that would turn me off to the Salindrite Dagger, as a choice (even as a piercer), is that it has no DEX mod. DEX is very important to a rogue even moreso than strength.

Can a rogue only backstab with a piercing weapon in the primary hand, or can bs take place with a piercer in each hand?

Yes, A rogue can only back stab with the primary weapon being a piercing weapon. So even when a rogue double/triple backstabs the dmg is (theoretically) done with the primary. And this is regardless as to whether or not there is a piercing weapon in the off-hand
