You've always needed to block Promised Rehabilitation and Ardent Elixer. Do you have a parse showing there was a change in what they cast? That would totally work, if all you want, only, ever, is one heal per tick. It would be only barely more effective in that mode than if you blocked all but Ardent Elixir instead... Also, yeah, what Sanctus says. That's their spell linup. Those are cleric spells. Dunno what you're even looking for, tbh

Every parse here has the same rotation: the vast majority of casts are Ardent Light, Spiritual Remedy, and Fervid Renewal. Just because mercs very occasionally use Convalescent Splash or Word of Greater Reformation doesn't mean their rotation has changed, they just use them so infrequently that you won't see them in every fight. I'd imagine mercs use those two spells if specific conditions are met (e.g. need to group heal w/ splash or cure w/ reformation). *cough* Sancus *cough*

If you have to use your merc on reactive... I believe that is telling the cleric to go into fast healing mode. IE. Cast as fast as you can. My issue is the merc isn't using a fast heal spell line up on reactive lets look at cast times of what it is casting before we smartly block things We can tell its priority by the cast amount so i ordered them by the mercs priority --- Spiritual Remedy Rk. II - 13 - Cast time .5 --- Ardent Light Rk. II - 12 cast time 3.8 --- Convalescent Splash Rk. II - 5 cast time 3.0 --- Promised Rehabilitation Rk. II - 3 cast time .3 --- Fervid Renewal Rk. II - 2 cast time 3.0 --- Ardent Elixir Rk. II - 1 - only cast out of combat so don't matter. See that 3.8 cast time in there? That's called the tank killer. Here is why its only a 13k heal. I don't know what math is applied to the mercs base heal but 13k is the base heal amount of ardent light. my warrior tanking this mob in lceanium took 746052 dmg over 177 seconds. That means the average damage per second the tank was receiving was 4,215. 4215 * 3.8 cast time = 16016 meaning the tank just took more dmg then the healer is healing for. See the problem now? now lets roll that into the next spell the merc casts 3.0 seconds for 6152 base heal that means now the tank is taking an additional 12645 dmg in the time the merc has cast a 6 k heal See the issue yet? This is an average dmg... which in reality is not how dmg rolls, meaning the situation can be better or worse but it should illustrate the situation well.
I respect what your saying Sancus, but the logic is flawed.Casting convalescent splash for 6152 heal for a 3.0 second cast instead of casting syllable of convalescence for 11215 with the same cast time in my mind is insane. I am all for the merc casting Word of greater reformation to do cures.
Yeah Iblis I think i had a set of spells blocked that gave me the result that i was seeing early in beta. In beta i started on windows 10 and by the end of beta i was running a clean install of windows 8.1 I took a break from eq in dec and reformated to windows 10 again. So this is clearly a what to block issue.
The mercs in general just suck. Any real cleric at level can out heal it with the remedy line alone. The healer merc takes ninja afk breaks all the time. Sometimes they let you die without casting a heal and then rez you after you died.
