Suspended only 33 seconds to respond

So I'm in commonlands and attacking a pet on my monk to get skillups. Of course I'm still at my computer watching tv with my game right beside me and get a tell from Dunbar. Obviously i dont see it right away and start responding when i get disconnected from EQ. Literally 33 seconds to respond before getting suspended.

I don't know whats more sad... That you posted this or that the GM must have absolutely NOTHING to do but to bug someone skilling up on a pet afk or not and yes I know you ain't supposed to do stuff like that AFK but STILL... All the other lowdown stuff that happens on the TLP servers.. lol

Thing is im not AFK lol, i just didnt respond in 33 seconds because i didnt catch it right away......

But they can do it for weeks on Rathe Mountains auto-firing. Just watched a bot die not 5 minutes ago. A level 60 on rathe mtn died. What does that tell ya? A level 60 Mage working with another 60 mage side by side. And it's Dunbar answering the petitions about them.

Never been suspended before or done anything wrong. Bought 2 1 year passes for the game , and this is what i get, 33 seconds. Now my entire vacation is messed up with luclin launching tomorrow..

Leaving aside the 33 seconds from first contact to suspension, (absurd IMHO) this line in your log says you were AFK.

I am wondering if there is more to all of this.

Perhaps the new policy/threshold is how long it takes a suspended AFK to submit a CS ticket for being suspended for afk?

thats just another reason not to do auto afk

Was watching a episode of breaking bad, occasionally looking over at the computer screen from time to time. AFK gets put up after like 10-15minutes of not doing any interaction, which i can say i didn't except the occasional tell because all i was doing was auto attacking.

Well, it's just stupid. They going to go after afk swimmers next? Great business plan DBG. Leave the people like the botters on Rathe, but go after good people like this.

Did you try logging back in? It's just hard to imagine getting suspended for that.

Heck i wish this was just some April fools but it states I'm suspended. Going back and forth with GM's now so hopefully they can get this taken care of.

Folks, don't fall asleep in a raid or group, you might get suspended.

It's ridiculous that they police AFK skilling up considering the entire Skill based weapon/defense system of EQ is archaic. I mean if you are playing a caster/healer correctly you likely have low Defense skill upon hitting level 60, yet you suffer a huge AC penalty as a result of this and need to raise it up via roundabout methods.

I remember Dunbar coming after me for skilling up Lockpicking in like Paineel pick 2 back in classic, saying I needed to be mindful of people at the bottom of the elevator that are having trouble getting on/off. How exactly he expected me to know when people were trying to get on from the bottom while I was up top I still don't really grasp.
