I hate the lottery boxes. All of them. I played them years ago when they were new and hated them then. I BS'd myself saying that the hundreds of dollars I spent were supporting the game. That's another story. I spent the money, I opened the lottery boxes and got tons of "premium" items that I not only didn't want but that NOBODY wanted. But eventually I did get a few items that I did want and that were AND still are in high demand. Some of these items are theoretically available again with the Resurgence Lottery Box and the Booster Remix Lottery Box. The problem is that there are no guarantees that the items I would like to get again will drop no matter how much money I spend on the current Lottery Boxes. And I hate spending money on gambling. I don't go to casinos and I only buy the occasional lottery ticket whenever I feel like it. I would like to support the game with a few of my dollars but I want a sure thing in return. Currently, there is no way to guarantee that I get the items I want since DInk insists on locking them behind a lottery scheme. And the items that I want I already have on my main - I just want to unlock them on other characters and I am NOT willing to "roll the dice" with my money to see if the current Lottery Boxes will yield them upon purchase. And the Devs have said that the way materials work they cannot be unlocked the way styles and auras can. So, I would like it if DInk would add a 'token' or voucher to the Marketplace that I could buy with real money that I could then use to unlock an item that I have already collected on one character on another character. For example: I have the Glowing Material on only one character right now. I would like to unlock it on another character. If DInk would add a 'token' or voucher to the Marketplace that I could buy with real money - say $1 since I've already spent hundreds of dollars playing their Lottery Scheme - I could then use that 'token' or voucher to unlock the Glowing Material on another character. I have essentially already paid for the item and just want it available for another one. (DCUO is the ONLY MMO that I know of where premium items only apply to one character instead of ALL CHARACTERS ON YOUR ACCOUNT when acquired.) I would also like this 'token' or voucher to apply to the special items that are ONLY available with Quarks. I have purchased a couple them and again, they only applied to the one character instead of ALL characters on my account. If a single 'token' or voucher cannot be used for both premium Lottery Items and Quarks items then it would be nice to add a separate 'token' or voucher to the Marketplace that would cover the other. I may be alone in wanting this/ these item(s) but I don't think I am. Adding these to the game would be a HUGE QoL improvement. For me, at least. Please consider adding them and adding them soon. Giving this a bump since it got buried onto the second page awfully fast on a Sunday afternoon and I am serious about spending money on this/ these item(s) if DInk will add them to the game. Maybe I'm not the only one that would spend money on it/ them.
Isn't that essentially replay tokens though? Because last time I checked they can be used to unlock feats and styles you've already gotten on a different character that you've created. Only thing it doesn't seem to apply to is the collections and the Base items. Any base items you buy through the market i believe go to all characters on your account with a few exceptions I think but I rarely buy those types of things from the market to begin with.
If you would have read my post in its entirety I think you would understand what I'm after. The premium items from the Lottery Boxes such as materials only apply to the ONE character that consumes them. I am wanting an item that will allow me to unlock such items on another character without having to babysit the Broker or spend hundreds of more real dollars "scratching off" more Lottery 'tickets' for items that I have already paid for. Also, certain items purchased through the Quark Vendor cannot be unlocked with Replay Badges. I purchased a few of them years ago when there wasn't that much choice available and the Quark prices were A LOT higher than they are today and was AND STILL AM very disappointed that those items, too only applied to the one character instead of ALL CHARACTERS on my account. I simply want a reasonable method for unlocking them on other characters that doesn't require tons more money that I've already spent. I would think that I am no alone in this but I admit it's possible that I am since no one else seems bothered by DInk's insistence on sticking with their Lottery Scheme instead of simply putting these premium items on the Marketplace for direct purchase. But I suppose if they did that they would charge an outrageous amount of money for them just to keep them as locked as possible from the average everyday player.
