What DCUO is missing

I came up with this idea before aswell, which they could also monetize it. They could host tournaments with an X reward like BvS and put a participation fee of replay badges, for example if it's a 4v4 tournament, every player of each team has to pay the X amount of replay badges so they can participate in the tournament. Like you said, the rewards could be og items.

do feats on the main char unlock for money at your others...bla bla replaymarks u get some free but at the end u be forced to buy some to get an quick progress with all chars

samething with the artifacts pay to breaktrough nice ...very nice and not even the cheap ones at the high lvl no u need the seals of completion witch is 450 dc coins or at consoles loyaty points we get 500 in one month so u got the chance do one seal do some replaymarks or waste your money for timecapsules and hope u get what u need/like

anyway another thing the i dont understand why are we role bound with powers? isnt it better to give all roles to all powers
i mean how many times we have to switch chars bcs we arent the right needed role in a raid ???

The core players of this game are cosplayers, role players little kids and old geezers. Those are the players daybreak targets. Hardcore playerbase and even competitive pve playerbase are neglected, always have been always will be. Seems like no one at the company even has a desire to fight for that side of the playerbase, the ones who have all left the company..wonder why??

They making bank off the whales, hoping for any meaningful updates or rehaul is honestly pointless unless the whales decide to stop paying for garbage. Love this game for what it is, a fashion based social escape that occasionally lets you hit things with weapons and superpowers!

Yea pretty much the first one, I feel if you have no problems losing to someone who outperformed you then the Leaderboard is not the issue, many people used to use the leaderboards to get better at their roles etc. but the forum population got rid of it because of personal issues.

Everyone who's bad at the game would be against leaderboards, and that's just the truth. Also everyone who's bad at the game has been against changes that would require skill and increase the skill gap between players. PVE based and PVP.

Another:
Instead of leaderboards they could add a wall and name it "Hall of Fame"
Have people who completed Survival Mode's Round 30
or people who have won PVP Tournaments/FNL.

omg yes they could add statues like those in league halls but in watchtower

Not only statues, they could add a display screen somewhere in watchtower where people can see all the names of people who have completed Survival Modes or have won PVP Tournaments like FNL

Idea for the devs to make money:
put a participation fee in the Elite Raid speedruns you're about to host. Fee could be Marks of valor or replay badges like bantos mentioned above. That way you can monetize it and but you'd have to give a reward to the fastest team

You want the players that participate to have to pay to participate? Myself and some friends ran in the first one and we were one of 2 teams that didn't bail. Probably would have been an also bailed team if we had to pay. Already "cost" us a week of source and relevant coins due to practice times.

Now if they wanted to add in a form of charitable donation/ gambling that non involved players could bet on the winner, then all for it. But they're already having issues getting teams to run this so charging them won't help. All for donating but generally if it doesn't go to animals, I'm not that interested. Personal preference obviously

Nope, they could add participation fee and also add a reward for the winning team. It wouldn't be gambling it would be competing to win. The prize could be literally anything LIMITED for only the winners to receive in once in a lifetime.

Gotcha. Just know that the community generally goes into full outrage when some players get exclusive things thru elite level competition type stuff.

Same could be done for PVP and it would easily be monetized.

Whatever I may think about his Celestial Loadouts, ObsidianChill can show you how to play most powers with style, aplomb, and results.

Try not staying away from powers because you feel they aren't competitive, because that guy puts hard work into making them ALL competitive.

For instance, 1H Flurry in Gadgets Melee is hardcore, and MA and Brawling mastery for Shuriken Storm is insane damage IN THE RIGHT LOADOUT. Explore. Find new powers and loadouts, and don't wait to be fed the "Flurry Shot Meta is King" ********.

People that aren't going to be on the Leaderboards do not GAF about Leaderboards. You have an assumption that everyone in the game will be striving to get to No.1. MOST people will just play the game and do their thing. Only people that care about being #1 will give a ****. It's like the statues in your League Hall. It's nice to be there in 1st, but you didn't go out of your way to be there. It just happens.

If you want leaderboards, have them. But if they are just for DPS, it will just further confirm the "DPS is best" attitude.
