Any chance we could get the ability to have custom avatars on the forum? Feels pretty archaic to have to choose from a small selection instead of being able to assign a custom image, like on most forums. Thank you
I agree, but what reason would they have to spend dev time making that happen, and potentially breaking something else? We've seen them not fix things because theirs no financial benefit in doing so
We have had issues with folks uploading inappropriate images that then live on our servers. As mentioned, we are looking to expand the options soon.

I really can't say. We may be extra cautious based on past events with illegal images being on our servers.
Well.. Many other games do not have companies with major character licensing overseeing things (DC/WB). The last thing the devs need is to have someone complain about an inappropriate image and then take it up with DC, for example; especially parents since this is a Teen Rated game. I can understand why they are being overly cautious.
Thanks. That's unfortunate. Obviously this isn't a major priority but if the topic could be revisited at some point, I feel like we'd appreciate it. I can't think of another community that's so restrictive about this and despite spending a lot of time online I've straight up never seen an inappropriate pic in a forum like this but with freedom of avatar upload. It's especially weird for a DC community to be so cautious about it when the source material is extremely graphic... and that's a really incomplete list, given it leaves out a ton of nasty Batman-related scenes, Superboy Prime straight up punching a Teen Titan's head clean off then freaking out and going berserk, etc etc... it also really downplays just how out-of-nowhere and graphic Sobek eating Osiris was (it's like if Tawny just eviscerated Billy with a smile on his face). I feel like in 2019 we can handle avatars maturely enough the company can ease off a bit. I just wanna use the same avatar I use everywhere else

Ok I hate to be that guy. But in 2019 society has leaned more towards over reacting. Cancel culture has people demanding someone be punished today for an inappropriate joke made 20 years ago. Digital black face is a thing now apparently. Cultural appropriation over words and hair and images. Plus trolls are a thing since the dawn of humanity and will far outlive our species.
Well for companies, we are abit on the fringe side of things. We are (as a whole) unpredictable, and context can be taken in a few ways, remember this? It wasnt a racist gesture, but it was seen as such The suspension announcement doesn't specify the details of the individual transactions, but according to Unikrn xQc's most recent trouble is the result of spamming the TriHard 7 emote in Twitch chat while reporter Malik Forte is on-screen. xQc denied that the emote is racist during a recent stream (via AvroGag), noting that it's a "global Twitch emote" and describing Forte as a "good friend."
If you were brand new to the forums you could get away with a statement like this...but you've been here long enough to see that even to this day people can hardly hold a civil conversation/discussion without tossing insults to each other and to the Dev team. You need not leave the first page for clear evidence of this community's immaturity or toxicity level, and yet you'd have Daybreak believe that collectively we could keep ourselves in check???
There's a big difference between the level of civility in discourse and users posting pornographic images as avatars. Other gaming forums are no better and often much, much worse yet still manage to not put ***** n balls in their profiles.
Yeah, no...I don't trust this community to keep themselves in check for anything, let alone Avatar uploads. I still remember Circe's posts with all of those banana hammocks in my face....
