Can Aquaman kill Superman?

This old debate?
First Aquaman is no pushover and probably put up a hell of a fight but will probably lose.
Second Aquaman has the tools to take down Supes, or has Supes become immune to magic and I missed it?
Third Aquaman is in a different league physically compared to the other Atlanteans being a hybrid and the son of the queen but he isn't as strong as Supes but preboot he had a hobby of wrecking 100 toners h2h, and in New52 he has some of the best physical feats be it speed strength or durability. And do tell me if someone else apart from him and WW drew blood from Darkseid.

Superman will just move faster than light and facepalm aquaman.

Yes Aquaman first is one of the only Atlanteans capable of going to the deepest parts of the ocean. Physically Royal Atlanteans have shown to be stronger then the typical Atlantean whether Soldier or citizen. Like Tempest, Orm, Atlan. Poseidon has said he hates the magic that flows through Aquaman's veins if a God is disturbed by it, it must be pretty potent.

Aquaman has fought and beat Hercules Post-Flashpoint a guy who Shazam has the strength of and is capable of giving Superman a fight. Has taken a beating from MMH a Superman physical character who can become stronger with his density and shifting abilities reason why he bulks up. Olympian who has the strength of Hercules, has fought Wonder Woman whose been said to beat Superman through skill and other stuff.

There's also in *Rock of Ages* where he was perceiving the movements of a Evil Wally Clone while engaged in a fight against his own clone.
In JL origins he reacts to a Parademon before Hal can.
He's also tagged Superman in TOA who was speeding past Wonder Woman and Batman to do so.



HV, He's tanked Heatvision, has been surrounded by Hellfire Fire, has tanked lava and Martian Vision.

You are all forgetting one thing: they are all only as strong as the writer allows, doesn't matter what any of you say (not even me), or past 'evidence' to support your claim one way or the other, if there is ever a 'final fight' between Soups and Aquadork it will be entirely up to the writer at the time to determine who will win (and, between Soups and The Guppy, Soups will win because. he. is. SUPERMAN!!)

That's why character showings are used in an argument. Given previous fights it's obvious that the popular character or top dog is usually given the win, look at Batman for instance.

Under certain writers Flash has been the most powerful or Green Lantern or Wonder Woman because she's almost as powerful but has the skill to gap Supes over.

In a character Showing standpoint though Aquaman has the showings to fight Superman without being ragdolled or turned into tuna.

my understanding, Aquaman is stronger in the water then out of it. So he would have more an advantage then Superman in the water. Also in the deep water Superman would run out of sunlight.

But again, this all goes back to Superman's sense of morality in that he doesn't kill. If he wanted to, he could just use his heat vision, even in the water and cut Arthur's head of...lol
It's the same with Batman. The argument that Batman could defeat and/or kill Supes is ridiculous unless Supes has the sense of morality of not killing.
Would the same argument apply to General Zod who would have no issue squashing either like an insect ??

That's actually a misconception it's not necessarily that Aquaman is physically stronger or faster in water it's just that in water he gets a massive healing factor and his mobility is better then other characters in the DC UNIVERSE in it.

In some comics it is known that Aquaman can affect minds...and that he chooses to use lower forms of water life to control out of ethics more than any kind of limitation...in those circumstances he might not be able to beat him physically but perhaps could gravely wound him mentally. Reminds of an old Avengers plot where Hercules was beaten to near brain death but because of stuff like his Hulk level toughness and Demi-God healing he simply could not die bodily...

Superman practices Torquasm Vo which negates mental attacks done against him. Pretty sure he has only used it against the Eradicator as far as I am aware.

Like all these Fifth Grade type arguments...it depends on exactly what Superman is fighting what era/version Aquaman...doesn't it. If I remember correctly Superman has been able to use his superfast thinking to literally think faster than a psionic attack and body takeover...that version of Superman might be able to withstand a mental attack as well.

Yea it's really hard to argue which will win.
There is a version of Superman that can't fly and there is a version of Superman that can destroy a solar system with a sneeze.
There is also a Superman that can literally use heat vision to a sub atomic level and fry someone's brain just by looking them in the eye.

Superman would probably win, but it's certainly not a curbstomp. WW, Supes, Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman are much closer in terms of power than people realize.
