AOE = Area Of Effect (an attack that covers a wide range affecting several targets at once) LFG = Looking For Group PUG = PickUp Group (randomly queueing in instances and leaving Lady Luck decide of your partners for the better or the worst) DOT = Damage Over Time (an attack will keep hurting the target after its initial casting). POT = Power Over Time (Controller's function to give power back to the team symbolized by a green lightning under your power bar) FOTM = Flavor Of The Month (Powers that are regularly tweeked by the devs to make one or several more powerful than the others in hope of several players flocking to that new power to be on top of the scoreboard and thus have them spend money on Power Reset).

I'd disagree with a lot of the shortenings for instances. Well, over here on EUPS most of them aren't used anyway. For example.... Return to the Nexus is simply Renex. Also, Zamaron Conversion Chamber is just Zama. Just two examples but there are a lot others I could pick.
Okay I should have qualified... those are the things a player will see on the USPC server. If You see different on EUPS.. add a list Oh and good call Abberant. This is a good list. Villains have a few variations. "DOX = Paradox Wave one of the Tier 4 raids available through the journal" This is referred to as Wave or PW. And a T5 raid "AI = Avarice Impurity another T6 4 man operation" RI for Rage Impurity
