New Powerset Leak?

Hello guys,

I just wanted to share something that I noticed and I hope you guys can back it up or give some insight. In the Necropolis raid, the different (sub-)bosses will actually absorb certain powersets we have. Nature, Fire, Quantum, etc. Now in my first run of the run I actually came across something quite surprising. The final boss was absorbing "Shadow" powers. I know there has been some speculation on this powerset for quite a while and he was actually teleporting me like a Indigo Lantern would (or Blink if you want to go Marvel). thoughts?

Now THAT is a leak.

There just animations for a few attacks. Atomic/Radiation have been in the game since the Omac leveling stuff. A few powers, a powerset doesn't make.

I would agree with you if they were not used alongside already existing powersets. Them being added to a line of very specific absorptions of a powerset makes it suspicious of something more.

Remember when Home Turf came out and everyone was convinced Atomic or Radiation powers were next because of all the adds around Strykers and the Atomic Morrowbot ?

Nope, wasn't a player back then, but this feels different.

Check the trailer from dcuo there is a moment when you can see the actual indigo symbol on the back of one player, so i guess indigo is coming! , check at 0:35

That is the Blue Lantern symbol and it was revealed a long time back that in one of the future War of the Light DLC's that armor set will be for purchase. This is one of the reasons why a lot of people assume that a Blue Lantern powerset is coming as well.

I was wondering when this would crop up ^^ I saw some files mentioning Shadow and Water a while back and when I read the patch notes about the artifact enhanced boss attack and read the description of it I realised this must be what the files were for.

As for the Home Turf and Atomic thing, that was different. Those Atomic animations had been in the game since release, being used by the OMACs. These Shadow and Water animations are completely new and could indeed be hints at the next batch of powers. The devs may also have felt it was fine to have them in there at release since SOE Live is next week and they may be planning to reveal some of them.

I honestly don't think they will be putting the healing lantern set for a long time off yet. WotL3 at the earliest.
Remember there is a Troll to come before a Heal.

I have only noticed Water Absorption in Necro, and I got a little giggity cos of that.

Who knows, it could be a semi testing of some mechanics for a new power, and honestly, not a bad way to go about it hey.

im pretty sure powers like water and shadow, that has been asked to be put in the game for years, will soon come in the future. if alot of people want something in the game, the DEVs WILL put it in the game, so they can make some good $cash$
