Been kicked by horrible Controllers all day

Atomic is meant to be a healing power set.

The kick option has been abused since day 1. It's not even needed. 9 out of 10 times if you ask someone to leave they will. Too many times a group will kick a random to get a friend in and that's not fair to the random.

I guess it is fair by the devs' design but it's happened to me in the past and it stinks. Especially right before a last boss when you're being kicked so someone else's friend can get last boss loot.

Presumably he means to say that controllers are trying to perform weapon mastery combos (which result in a "SHIIING" noise) rather than pot or power dump. I'm not sure he realizes that the controllers might be doing the combos for totally legitimate reasons: 1) they build up their own power and 2) performing the combo correctly results in greatly reduced power consumption for the combo-ending power (thus resulting in a "free" pot or power dump, which is actually good for everyone). It's almost always better to wait an extra second to finish the combo before you dump.

Honestly he sounds like the sort of person who cares more that the icons he expects to see are there 100% of the time more than that his power bar is in good shape.

I've never seen this issue on USPC Villain Side...

Happened all the time on my hero toons (I wasn't usually the one getting kicked).

I'd say the maturity gap in the overall populace of each faction is quite large, try villain side and see if you have the same issue (unless you are villain side, in which case try hero... if it still happens, might be you )

If you do that well I just bring all the adds to you & let you die.
& I know other people will do the samething.

I've actually done that before... We got into a TD run, and a guy was like "hey I'll be right back, gotta drop a wicked deuce".

We went ahead and cleared the first bazaar, he still wasn't back (he was our DPS, and we were 1-1-1-1 so it took a while). The other two sat in a corner and I aggro'd the last two mobs (on the way to the statue and to the "usual" first boss) and took them back to the spawn. They killed him and I sat with the other two til he got back. He fled, died again, fled, died again... and did that like 3 times before saying anything in chat. HE WAS GONE 20 MINUTES! We were having too good a laugh to really care about the time of it (I was drunk, not sure about the others), but if you're going to be gone (he later told us that he had something planned that he forgot about) for a time of 5+ minutes, just leave... PARTICULARLY if you're DPS.

In the end we did kick him (his damage was ******** slow), got a new DPS, and finished SOMEHOW with the game clock being JUST over an hour.

Your way of managing power is no longer the most effective way at managing power. That *SHIIING* you speak of is now the best way, troller or otherwise, especially when dealing with power hungry teams as a troller. Get used to it.

Full auto in the back if you want but, if we're to believe the title to this thread, I'm sure you'd be getting a /votekick from the other troller if he's paying attention to the fact that he's feeding you much more power than anyone else.

This so much. I've been in groups for FAM or BIA and once the initial part in CC and the wormhole are done they kick and invite one of their league mates. I do all the work and get kicked so they can gear their league mate. That's just ridiculous.

To make you ask questions.

If I have told you my vit and you continue overwriting my PoT with ticks that are half the size even after I have asked you to stop, you're the "horrible controller " and you deserve a swift kick.

This is 100% correct. I'm a Troller and WM (atleaste to me) has been awesome for supplying power. A few times I have been able to time it to get a Double-tick when clipping at the end with a PoT drop . If the guys I run with hear that "Shiiing," from me, they know the "Juice is loose."

Inexperienced players believe that a CONTROL-ler is just for power.....it’s a shame that the community is so illiterate these days. Attrition and skipping content has caused this.

If we rename them batteries will that solve the problem?

To elaborate: I've been out dpsing and out powering several trolls all day. Generally, out performing them all around. If I ever fell behind, it's because I spent the time to revive them. Yet, I get kicked once 'cuts are made.' Even had someone whisper me after getting kicked earlier and say it was the other controller, who was quickly kicked after my removal because even with me gone, he didn't even scratch what I was at before leaving. I had 120k power out before getting kicked. He was still below 80k and died just as much as when I was still with the group.

I've read quite a bit and practiced my butt off to get where I am with the Controller role. It's not exactly going to convince me to keep playing when I can be kicked for doing well. If I was doing poorly, I'd be okay with it. I think the vote to kick system should be reevaluated. You should have to give a reason for why the person should be kicked and it can't be "cuz dey sux" it should have a multiple choice reason and people should look at what that reason is. Maybe if it's more effort to vote people won't bother.

As others have stated, 1 person doesn't decide who stays or leaves a group. It's the majority. If it happened multiple times in multiple groups its hard to imagine that you being kicked was everyone else's fault. Did anybody have a mic on that had anything to say to you? We must be missing something here. I doubt you were kicked for being op.

Who had PoT? I've been out powered by lower vit trolls who refuse to stop overwriting my PoT... and if you had PoT you should be out powering them. I'm not accusing you or anything, just trying to suggest reasons you might keep getting kicked.
