Just Learned My Lesson About Buying Stabilizers: Never Again

Are you on their payroll or something!? If for you opening 800 capsules without getting a collection that has it's drop rate so low it makes my head hurt is not an obvious scam then no comment. For your information yes we all knew we where buying a chance what we didn't know was how incredibly low that chance was. You must really love these time capsules and their drop rates to defend them so much all the time it's quite intriguing.

What you call lack of common sense i call a scheme. It's a scheme and a lack of common sense to have an item contributing to a feat with such a low drop rate not even 800 time capsules are guaranteed to drop it. Nobody had any info about how bad the drop rate of flaming phoenix feather collection was in the first place but i agree after opening 100 he should have stopped and we're the ones to blame for supporting the game this way. Never again!

I ended my subscription to DCUO 9 months ago and haven't given them a cent since. Got sick of their poor business model putting this game in a bad direction, which includes their cash grab money schemes like stabilizers. It's surprising people are still just now realizing this. I'm glad to see you're waking up and I sure hope that more people do the same; this company needs to be called out on its BS.

Actually I'm more bothered by you and other playing the victim. Which is exactly what you're doing. You weren't victimized. There's been at least two explanations in this thread alone about strategies for maximizing what you get out of the ATCs.

You can call me all the names you want, but if you opened 800 boxes solely for one thing, and couldnt use what you got out of those boxes to make money and buy the one thing you wanted, then that is on you. It's not on Daybreak, or anybody else, solely on you and your inability to work the economy as its meant to be worked.

The reason I keep coming back to YOU is because YOU continue to push this idea that you're being scammed, hoodwinked, etc. You are not. You're just not using the ATC items you got to their full potential. Again, that is on YOU. Play the blame game all you want, nobody forced you, or him, to blindly spend obscene amounts of money on something when there are several less expensive and more lucrative ways to do to it.

At some point Kayla, you and the other guy are going to have to take some personal responsibility for your poor decisions, instead of hemming and hawwing that it's all the devs fault with their nefarious scheme to make money while running a business.

i'm fine with time capsules. but if it's really gonna be random luck i'd prefer not to get no collections at all so much as the same collection over and over. atleast this way there are always a couple dozen of every one circulating through the online economy. to me the amazon fury stuff should have been put with the rest of the episode content rather than in with the collections. except maybe the shimtar. not that i like the shimtar suit it's just too plain for my tastes. however i did like the chest off a minotaur in the amzon fury 3 trailer.

We're playing the victims because we are the victims of an incredibly selfish money grabbing rng system. What does me being able to sell the extra items i get from opening 800 time capsules have to do with the fact that opening so many and not getting one collection is ridiculous to say the least.

Focus less on lecturing me about how the system works and try to focus more onto the point i am trying to make thank you.

I am already taking responsibility by coming here and telling people how small their chances are at getting that collection so that hopefully they will not to do the same mistake i did. Last time i checked we where allowed to post our feedback which is what this is all about but i guess for you every feedback regarding time capsules equals buyers remorse or whatever you can think of.

Stop trying to convince me it's my fault for trying something out and finding out to be a total scheme with a lack of any common ***** sense. There has been enough feedback about this issue since amazon time capsules released and instead of increasing that damn collection's drop rate they make a 40 stabilizer pack with a discount.

And now on a joke note how much they paying you cause if they pay good i might start loving time capsules too...

See you didn't even understood what i meant yet you jump to conclusions. I didn't say it's a scheme because in a chance box nothing is guaranteed i said it's a scheme because the chances at getting that collection is significantly lower then the rest.

Alas, someone else gets it here. The TCs are not some boogeyman. You should always make informed decisions when purchasing anything. Buyer beware and all that. Ridiculous that we got ppl making a victim case outta this.

Or are you trying to save everyone on the forums from continuing to play this game? Guys like you and Harlequin have EVERY right to b here, it just makes no sense and I would surely have a much better use of my time than to stay involved with something that made me so angry/dissatisfied.

The drop rates are horrible. Yeah, there's no denying that. But to call it a scheme is basically coming up with a creative use of the word. Does it fit? Yeah, of course. Is it really deserving of the negative connotation that the world "scheme" usually comes with? To me it isn't, but to you it clearly is.

At best, the drop rates were a sign of incompetence, but I don't think they can just come out and say "hey we messed up". That would cost them a lot of money. And at worst, if it is some sort of sinister plan to take advantage of ppl with poor impulse control, they're still not going to come out and say anything. Maybe it is part of their business plan(which it honestly could be, I just think it's ridiculous to tout it around with the fervor of a zealot) but the point is, we will most likely NEVER know. And at both ends of this question, they aren't gonna do anything to fix it right now.

You're making me sound too cruel and that's not my intent at all. If anything, it's the opposite of what you're assuming. The change that DCUO needs will not happen if there aren't people around who are willing to speak up. I refuse to pretend everything is greater than what it really is. I won't sugarcoat, I won't brown-nose, and I definitely won't be a sucker. If anything, given how much at one point I truly did love this game, I want DCUO to be saved. This game has gone down a HORRIBLE path and it's starting to look like it's becoming too late for things to turn around. I'm hoping that I can be proven wrong there and that 2017 is the year they can actually turn things around for once. Then again, going back to what you assumed, lesser people playing this game just might be the kick in the rear this company needs to wake TF up.

Now we agree on something. If anyone doesn't like the way TC's are being handled, simply do not pay to open them. As long as something makes money, they will continue to put it out there.

They have a "bad luck limiter" for gear. Couldn't they do that with Time Capsules?

I can easily get the odds for games inside casinos in Las Vegas.

I never play anything and expect to win if I cannot see the odds.

I know that I have never made a bet on a dog or horse race blindly and I never will either.

How do you know that everything is on the up & up if these companies and people refuse to give you the odds?

By not showing the odds companies & people are perceived as not being honest even if they are.
