[Suggestion] [To Devs] MLG Format Suggestion

I know what everyone says about MLG, but how about this as a temporary solution for MLG until Battle Islands are out:

    Virtual Reality
    • is, in fact, an instance
    • has 1 tower on the opposite side of the Warpgate Facility
    • has alot of unutilized ground
So as you already probably figured I propose
    • creating another instance of VR, unavailable from warp terminal
    • removing all the NPCs (dummies) from there
    • replacing the Wargate Facility with another Tower
    • making the new two towers - two adjoined hexes
    • adding 2 points for each tower (3 will be too favorable for attackers, considering the lack of exterior)
    • keeping the all-unlocked script
    • removing the infinite resources script and instead making 9 (3x3) uncapturable hexes around the map that bring +100 of each resource to whole 3 factions
    • adding "/mlg reset" (to reset the MLG VR to neutral), "/mlg platoon <leader name>" (to warp a platoon to MLG VR), "MLG purge" (to send all competitors away to one of the open continents) to dev console
    Rules:
All the following, like selecting winning timeframe, the number of "rounds" if need be, selecting sides can easily be done by MLG representatives from there on, via the developer console.

    Timetable:
What I mean to say here is that this can be done in just a week (truth be told - more like in a day without much cosmetic polishing to the added tower), but with this the next MLG report will be something more resembling the BI combat we're about to see in the nearest future. Not to mention, PSU will also be able to do some stuff like that.

TL;DR: It's an easy job to make a VR a temporary substitute to the upcoming MLG Battle Islands. See how above.

Any thoughts, devs and players? Apart from "MLGOMGNO", let's keep it a thread for cybersport lovers.

I think that SOE put PS2 forward to MLG to boost the popularity of a dying game. However the game itself doesn't lend to competitive play, especially on a small scale.

So the above idea does sound like a great idea, but also sounds like a CoD map, because that's what PS2 will need in order to enter competitive play.

Yes, I think I already broke your one and only rule...
