Ithaca / Exogi : Exoghi is among the oldest villages with stone houses built on the slope. The church of Santa Marina holds the only Venetian belltower in all Eptanese. It is also worth visiting the Virgin chapel in Pernarakia with a magical view to Afales bay. Monastery of Katharon the Virgin Mary ( Panagia ) the abbot pictures of are also of this monastery belltower Anogi : a big part of Anogi was destroyed by the great Ionian earthquake Ithaca /Pirates Bay ; The most commonly accepted story regarding the wreck of the Panagiotis maintains that she spent the later part of her life as a smuggler ship. In 1980 (during a time of record population lows on the island of Zakynthos), Panagiotis was making her way from Turkey with a freight of contraband cigarettes (for the Italian Mafia, as some versions of the story assert). The crew was suspected by authorities, and so the Panagiotis was pursued by the Greek Navy. Encountering stormy weather, she ran aground in a shallow cove to the north of Porto Vromi, where the crew abandoned ship to evade the pursuing Navy. To this day, she remains at the site which is now called "Navagio" for the Greek "shipwreck."

Zakynthos : City of Zante: Solomos Square : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomos_Square Church of Agios Nikolaos of Molos old Venetian church Venetian Castle : Another building proving the remarkable influence of the Venetians on this island it is the castle located in Bochali at the back of the city of Zakynthos. Almost nothing remains of the ancient building, only the walls but it is worth visiting the ruins that are in the greenness of a grove and from where it is possible to admire from the top the entire chief town of the island. In the past where now there are the ruins of the castle there was the medieval town of Zakynthos which consisted in many houses and twelve churches of which after the many earthquakes and wars nothing remains. In 1970 the walls were consolidated since, after the numerous earthquake, they risked to fall down and in 1984 thanks to the diggings many churches dated back to the 11th and 18th Century and other ruins that go back to the Byzantine period and the English occupation came back to light. the castles prison
