Problem: When client is invoked either by pressing 'play' on the launcher or by running the everquest2.exe directly the blank game window is opened and then silently crashes back to desktop without ever populating with the expansion graphic or the age warning text. Cause: the existence of "software_cursor_enabled true" in the eq2_recent.ini file. This needs to be deleted or set to false.in order to access the game with the most recent version of the client. If you go into options in the game and attempt to turn the setting back on, ticking the box results in an instant trip to the desktop. I have software cursors turned on and at max size for a very good reason so I'm hoping this is just a mistake that crept into the latest client build and that you can fix it asap. Pretty please?
