So, I played when EQ2 first came out as a Guardian and a Defiler. Now that I'm returning I'm looking for a mage / cleric / rogue class that will always be needed / welcomed in groups and possibly raids if I ever get there. I hear soloing isn't really a thing anymore with mercenaries able to be hired. Of the Scouts I was really looking at the Dirge and the Troubador. I would love a class that would be welcome and sought after in groups and possibly raids eventually. Would either of these be more or less welcome? What would you all say are some pros and cons of these two compared to each other? Is there a significant learning curve on one over the other? Thanks!
