    Hi all,

Thursday was the last time I actually played. On Friday afternoon, I attempted to run the game and the Launcher ran normal until it started to do updates on the screen to hit play. I contacted Tech support via the website, did the msinfo32 and dxdiag and sent the files to him. So far I have done these items to try and fix the issue and followed everything I could for agent before I gave up til today.

    The error is as follows:
    Unable to download SocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....2-en/live/eq2-en-full.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....2-en/live/eq2-en-full.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....2-en/live/eq2-en-full.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....2-en/live/eq2-en-full.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....2-en/live/eq2-en-full.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony.com/patch/sha/manifest/eq2/eq2-en/live/eq2-en-full.sha.soe

I have disabled AVG, Zone alarm, and Ad-Aware. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall the game and still get the same errors. I have also reset both router, modem and PC. Prior to this error I did nothing to my programs and it did just fine.

If someone can tell me how to attach the dxdiag and msinfo32 if it's needed I most definitely will.

Redownloaded the client, checked your firewall settings beyond just resets (individual port set up on your router configurations). In extreme times back up your HD and reformat can also clear up these issues. I had this socket host problem once before and it was a client version issue that improperly modified my Registry. I formatted and reinstalled my comp and the error was fixed with a new Client download.

This was just my experience with the problem. I am not tech support analyst nor an IT Major so I hope maybe there is some help in my experience for you.

I tried to redownload it but it gets back to the one screen (where the play button is) and gives me the same error. I really don't want to format but that seems to be my only option left

Nizenka, PM me your ticket referene number when you get a chance. I'll look into it for you.

Yup. Just logged on after being gone for a couple of weeks and I got the same error.

TSR-AlexS, I'm assuming that you mean the reference number from the agent I had. That is 121130-001987.

However, I ended up formatting and once I got everything updated and such, I ran the setup file and so far it's installing without any problems.
