I love the mercs, but I'm absolutely begging you - we all are - to make them heirloom the way they should be, so you can trade them to alts they fit better. It's already pretty gross to have a 'gambling' element in game. It should at least allow us to equip our toons the way we like.
It's simple, xp and status bonuses don't make us spend money. Anything they ever do for us anymore is to get money from us.
