On the weekend of August 26, 27, and 28, we will be hosting a whole slew of events with a variety of prizes for participants who choose to drop by. Low level, high level, it doesn’t matter. The events are located in level 1 friendly areas so all may come and enjoy the festivities whether to watch or participate. But what is the Festival of Sands, you might ask? The Festival of Sands is a weekend long celebration of the often forgotten city of Maj`Dul. Players from the Antonia Bayle server will host events in the Sinking Sands showing pride in each of the courts ranging from riddle contests, to gambles of life and coin, to dueling. But keep an eye out; if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of your local Tears grifter for an ongoing event throughout the weekend. So come on out to the Sinking Sands for a weekend of adventure, excitement, and prizes. The festivities kick off on Friday, August 26 at 8:00 EST and run until Sunday evening. Come enjoy the bounty of the desert at the Desert Feast, to be held during Wayfinder's. Event: Sink or Swim Host: Shaded Lotus Time: 6:00 EST Location: Caiman's Way Details: A swimming race. Come take a break from the dry sand and enjoy the cool waters of the ocean. While you're at it, why not make a race out of it? A bit of friendly competition never hurt anyone. Event: Griffon High Dive Host: Shaded Lotus Time: 7:00 EST Location: Caiman's Way Details: A diving contest. Grab your griffon and take a dive. Show off to that lass you've had your eye on since the start of the festival. The better the dive, the higher the score, so you might even get a prize to help. Event: Maj`Dul Mad Hunt Host: Shaded Lotus Time: 8:00 EST Location: Caiman's Way Details: A scavenger hunt. Follow the clues to help piece the puzzle together. Uncover the location of a scholar's pages to discover his secrets. But know that you have to have a bit of wit yourself to recover the pieces. Event: Closing Ceremony Host: Sibelle Time: 9:00 EST Location: Caiman's Way Details: Closing Ceremonies and blessing of Sul to end the exciting weekend and herald the setting sun.
