I've just installed Everquest on my new computer and it takes forever to load the charater select screen and about 5 minutes to actually get in the game once I click enter world. If I press f11 i'm pinging at 500ms+ clicking on doors or trying to right click vendors is a waste of time it just bounces me back a few steps. I had this problem with my old computer for a few weeks but I thought it was just my computer on its last legs. However this one is the same. I'm running windows 8.1 and playing from England, I used to ping 180ish and could easily run 2 instances of everquest no problems. My internet connection to the web etc is fine and other games run perfect. As it is at the moment this is unplayable, did anything change recently? Or is there some solution? Any help or advise would be welcome.
