slag golem spawn broked?

The merc quest Crafted From Ash requires 3 slag golem kills in Empyr. We were killing various mobs for about an hour and never saw a one. Even had track up the whole time and finished by circling the zone with track up. Seems like they dont spawn anymore. Any suggestions for finding these guys>?

Working fine, kill trash.

Quite a few spawn points can be multiple mob types. It is a pain but if you clear they will spawn.

Kill more zone trash , it definitely is annoying

Guess we were just in the wrong spot. Same mobs different location and they started showing up.

Ok I was banging my head against the wall on this one. Was for 2 days off and on, not straight killing. I was killing the elemental type mobs on the west side of the zone. No luck. Moved to the east side of the zone, killing the same elemental type mobs, and they spawned first round.

I found them all hiding in the southeast here:
