Hey all. . was a monk back when GoD expac came out. Just started back this late Feb and wanted to get back into monks. So far i've got a cloak of flames for haste, Flayed leggings, Velium Rings, stuff i had from and old account. Was wonder if I should go with weaps or fists? Am an iksar saw the spread sheet from a couple years(?) ago. Lookin for advice on a merc? healer/tank/dps. Fastest way to build up some AAs. Thanks All
If you're wanting to twink, weapons are a better start. Fists become good / better around 20s-30s till low 60s. General advice, and mine as well, is go with best Tank merc you can. Journeyman Tier I if possible, or highest Tier App if Jmen not available (due to not being Gold status). Opt-In for autogrant AAs is the fastest way to get them, but if you prefer to earn them yourself and get the effects of the 1000% low AA bonus and be selective about what you get, then PLed is next best, after that finding a good exp per kill rate spot. Sometimes this may just be a zone, like Greig's End is descent in the 50s and low 60s, or a camp with quests, like the Farm in Dragonscale Hills (especially in a group, where kill rate is high, to maximize quest xp). Other general, returning / newbie advice is to do the Tutorial and all the quests there to (re-) learn the game and the newer features.
