Luclin mounts on TLP servers

For those with previous TLP experiences, how do Luclin mounts work on TLP ? Do they sell mounts for DBG cash, specially Selo's mounts ?
  2. Ducreux Augur

Previously no. On this server, who knows.

More then likely it will just be the mounts for sale from NPCs in the Bazaar zone when Luclin comes out. There will also be two selo speed mounts that drop as loot from Emp and Seru.

It's possible there might be mounts in the casino also.

I'm curious to see the speed of the Quarm reward mount...

They should prolly offer a fast mount with no stats at luclin launch or even a week before it similar to 40 slot bag offer. Will bring in a lot of money for the EQ team.

Lots of people paying 10k pp to a vendor wont really help them.

Can make it non SC buyable just like the bags for some hard cash ( with a 10% discount ! )

There arent many things that can bring in the type of cash the 40 slot bags on progression servers have brought to the eq team. This is one of them. Vox/nag bags didnt prevent the 40 slot in classic so theres really no reason to let emp/seru mounts prevent a special fast horse.

    Good idea, +1

Love that idea, buy a fast mount for 34.99 less 10% discount and also make it an heirloom so it can be moved amongst toons on that same account. Just like the 40 slot bags. DBG would make a fortune.

The steadfast Satchel was the best purchase I have made on the TLP server. Could not live without it. Well, I could but don't want to.

Me too. Fast mount (any kind of model where the head of the animal won't block my view -horses used to iirc-, like the panther or the drogmor for example) would be second best.

True story, do not know why they limit it to one satchel either. I'd be happy to buy 1 a month until I had an inventory/bank full of em'.

So we now have the answer, DBG selling 950 and 1500 points mounts. Can anyone tell for sure the speed of those ?

Technically, they don't have to sell a mount directly to make money. Plat leaving the economy to buy horses results in krono being worth less plat and people having to buy more of them to get the same amount of plat (e.g. a horse).

Lets say you manage to sell all your krono at 4k each and you're paying for the most expensive horse exclusively by selling krono bought from DBG.

Thats a 25 pack of krono plus a single krono for 425 + 18 dollars = 443 dollars. They might be making alot more money this way, lol.

Quarm mount is the fastest type. Runs at bard speed.

People aren't regularly buying krono from Daybreak to transfer directly to cash in game. A lot of it is traded around and exchanged without being consumed.
  16. Accipiter Old Timer

It all got bought from Daybreak at some point.
  17. Astley Augur

Yeah, it was bought at some point, but I was responding to someone who said that Daybreak could make more by NOT having mounts in the game.

Which isn't necessarily provable, because krono and items are traded around and exchanged for plat. Someone selling off krono to get cash to buy a mount more likely had the krono from trading and stockpiling for awhile.

Since it gets traded around multiple times, making the assumption that Daybreak would make $443 from leaving mounts out isn't mathematically accurate unless Krono were forced to be redeemed after being traded once.

Yes, they were purchased at some point, and Daybreak made money from that. But it could have been bought on EQ2 or a different server, or wherever else...
