As the title says I'm getting back in tradeskills. But im still a bit of a low level. 50's at the moment. Whats the fast way to get pp? i've been saving all tradeskill materials but even then the vendor bought items are killing what little plat I get. I tried the barter but seems the items i get they buy for a copper or they want high end items. haven defiant for sale in baz but even below everyone else it still doesnt sell. any ideas anyone?

Not sure if your on live or TLP so this may not apply

If you have loyalty tokens saved up and are all access you can buy "bags of plat" that contain about 14-15k plat. I think they cost about 436 Loyalty tokens.

There is also the Gold Ticket which may sell well in the baz on your server. They are 960 tokens but since they are part of the Casino Mount thing they sell pretty good sometimes.

At your level go kill in Serpent's Spines zones, such as blightfire moors, the mesa. All the rare mobs drop loot that sell very well to vendors.

In the moors, there is a large treant in the center swamp that is on a timer and drops a nice sellable.

On the mesa, there are several giants in the caves and several centaurs that are on a timer and their items sell for 200ish-500ishpp.

In North Ro, in the southwestern corner, right by a zone line into South Ro, there's a group of about 5 or 6 sand giants that can be single pulled, if necessary. Zone into SRo, and head towards the dark elf camp past the oasis...next to that in the corner is a group of 7 or 8 sand giants (not sure of the exact number). Sand giants drop exactly the same thing regular hill giants do in terms of plat, fine steel, defiant gear, tradeskill stuff, and vendor trash. Kill the ones in NRo, kill the ones in Sro, sell at the inn, and run back to Nro. By the time you get there, they most likely will have respawned. (thank you Velisaris for this)

Grieg's end is pretty good for pp drops.

Pretty much anyplace you can kill fast will be beneficial.
  3. Rijacki Just a rare RPer on FV and Oakwynd

On TLPs, selling certain tradeskill mats is one way to generate plat. However, they're likely the same mats you want for your own tradeskilling so it's a bit of a bad cycle.

Fastest way is to buy a Krono for 17 bucks or whatever they go for now a days. Then sell it in your general chat window. On BB I seen some sell for 6 million plat the other day. It fluctuates. People buy and sell em all the time. That is if you can get into the general channel. WTF is up with that lately?

What tradeskills are you working on and what skill levels do you have?

If you're starting from zero, there are tradeskill quests in Cresent Reach that gets you to 50 skill for free.

Tradeskills are not very profitable. So many people do them just because of the other benefits, such as the artisan's prize, or to make armor containers for their guild, that there isn't really a margin. You are very unlikely to be able to have a resulting profit. Maybe on a TLP when you are staying out infront of things? Any profit is small, on the back end, and the most tradeskill profit comes from selling the materials people need to level up their tradeskills, materials you yourself need.

The best way to earn money to tradeskill is to level up while hoarding everything that says "this item can be used in tradeskills". The costs associated with leveling up are a lot less impactful at 125 than they are at 50. Plat inflation comes with leveling so the high you level, the more plat you earn naturally.
