Exp is painfully slow after 70. Am I doing it wrong?

Honestly, find a guild with someone high level that is willing to let you tag along for the exp. There are several pockets in the game where a merc group just doesn't cut it. Also, just because it's a hotzone doesn't mean it's more exp than another similar zone.

Find the zone where you kill fast and the mobs are at least light blue.

As posted above, hotzones aren't always the best XP. When playing my baby sk I do the dalies then head to plane of fire or splitpaw and clean house. Look around, you'll find better places if you simply look.

Agree with Matari, guild up ASAP, change servers if you have too.
