There can be only only one......Highlander Remake

Good movies don't need to be remade. If it's an attempt to shoehorn a different ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation into an existing story, just make something out of whole cloth and let it stand on its own merit. What's wrong with creating a new classic?

That said, some remakes are pretty decent. Dawn of the Dead, Dredd, and The Hills Have Eyes were just a few that I thought equaled or exceeded the original.......Rollerball and Assault on Precinct 13, not so much.

Couple of others that did ok. But by and large, they don't go too well.

It wasn't a remake, it was just another take on the comics. And it was also heavily influenced by The Raid.;)

Actually, Lambert learnt English while playing the role of Tarzan

The Urban 'Dredd' wasn't a 'remake', it was more of a prequel (and waayyy better than the Stallone 'Dredd': you never see Dredd's face, ever!!)

Agreed. It's much closer to the comic in that respect. It would be nice to get at least one sequel out of Dredd, but it doesn't look like that'll happen.

True, the Tarzan flick was his 1st English speaking role but didn't he barely have any lines in the film? In any case at least he gotten better by the Highlander movie

If I remember an article from years ago right, I think the reason they gave for the character's odd accent was from him living for so long and in many different countries. They were trying to go for something of a mix of accents/dialects, but how successful that might have ultimately been seems to be up for debate now. LOL

Still, if he was still working on his English while also trying to work out a multi-language accent at the same time, props to Lambert for at least making the attempt.

No thanks, original series was OK the first year, then it became dull , the director of wick ? It's currently tanking at the box office

John Wick 2 is doing very well. It doubled it's original opening, and it took only 8 days to surpass the original's total box office at $40 million which just about covers its estimated budget. It's on pace to do $80 million for its domestic run.

Thing is, even with the good opening they've had, pretty much everything else at the box office got buried with the Lego Batman Movie release last week. If that's a big part of a viewer's perspective, it'll look like the movie stumbled.
