    Figured it was common because FFXIV did it. Diablo 2 and 3 did it too if that counts. The remaster of of 2. Shrugs.

    The one I was replying to was talking about letting us save our progress from DCUO 1 if a DCUO 2 were ever to be released, and currently that still has never happened on an MMORPG.

    Only Diablo Immortal is considered an MMO, and FFXIV allows cross from platforms, but not a previous game (it's still the only FF MMO).

    The closest game to have ever done something remotely close was RuneScape, but that still doesn't count because it wasn't a remade game, but just major graphical overhauls/updates of the same game (labeled as 2 or 3 to differentiate versions).
