Sucks that the Panthers lost and as a fan I'm very happy with how far they made it. Hopefully next year they come back stronger than ever.

Kinda broke my heart to see the Panthers player crying

The super bowl was amazing, I'm glad to see Payton manning get another super bowl ring. And it was a great game to retire to! I just wish Cam Newton would have brought his A game, would have made the game 10x more interesting

Like I figured, if the Denver defense could slow down or stop the Carolina offense, they'd have a shot. What I didn't figure on was Newton being out of his game.

All the other playoff games, you'd see him smiling at the line, ready for the next play to go. But I didn't see that once last night, even before the Denver D started to work on him. His first series of passes were off-target more often than not, and he never got into any sort of rhythm from the get-go. And once Denver started working on him, it got worse.

Best way I could put it was all during the pre-game and all the build-up to the game, we kept hearing about how much fun Cam Newton was having playing the game. Last night he didn't look like he was having any fun, even before he started getting attacked by the defense.

Was that the only reason they lost? No, Denver came to play and played hard all night and earned their win. But I think it does factor into the situation more than some might think.

Oh, and the Doritos ultrasound commercial was the winner of the night for me. The PuppyMonkeyBaby was weird, but that's about it so it came in a distant second for me.

As for the movie trailers, the Civil War trailer nailed it. The chants during the montages were a nice touch.

I hope so, he's a good kid with talent. I hope he gets a shot somewhere next season

Cam did bring his A game, but he ran into a buzz saw that matched up very well with his A game and turned his game into D-
Tell you what, as much as I like Cam and his talent he needed a big piece of humble pie and boy he acted liked a typically brat.
When things going well, he's dancing, smiling, doing his Superman thing, but seeing him at the press conference.
One newspaper said it best, he acted like the Incredible Sulk....

I hope he learns this lesson... Win with joy and energy, lose with grace and dignity.

Always said there was something about him I just couldn't like. Had nothing to do with color or music preference nor how he wears his socks. Just rubbed me the wrong way. He has talent, no doubt. Will he back? I'm not 100% sold that he will. If he is just a big kid, then this would be a major blow and he may try too hard to get back and fall hard. Who knows. Any given Sunday......

For me it wasn't Cam that lost the game it was the Denver Def that won it. And the lack of pass blocking from the Panthers O-Line. The O-Line wasn't ready. The Panthers where in the game until like the last few minutes. I'm just glad the Patriots wasn't in the Superbowl and sad my Jaguars didn't win 7 games (yes its sad when you are hoping your team could just get to 7 wins per season)

I agree with this. Denvers defense is the reason Cam and the rest of the offense played so bad. I certainly didn't think that they would hold the Panthers offense to just one touch down.

Cam Newton showed me a few things yesterday. From not jumping on that second fumble, to pouting on the sidelines, to being a giant baby during his brief press conference, he is nothing but a spoiled brat. Now maybe this little piece of humble pie might wake him up. I say hopefully because he is an amazing talent.

Also to all you Panthers fans saying you will be back in it next year. Lol, it is not easy going to the superbowl. The Panthers danced their way to that 15-1 record. They played NOBODY all year. Next year things are going to be a little more difficult. Next year they play at Seattle, at Denver, they host KC and the Cardinals. It seemed like once someone finally punched the Panthers in the face they up an ran home to mommy.

Oh well and anyway, the football season has ended. I just barely came out with a plus in the cash department with all my wagering this year. A few of bad decisions jumping on bandwagon trends put me in a hole early. And a couple of smart money choices towards the end help pull me out. I think I think i only ended up going one game over .500 for the year, which basically covered the vig and left me with only a couple extra dollars. But hey I had fun and more importantly I didn't lose any cash.

Next year's Super Bowl favorites according to Vegas are the Pats at 9-1. It sure is nice to know that your team is in it year in and year out. Let's hope they make a few key pickups for that terrible offensive line and lower them odds baby!

    Good year. Congrats Denver.
And more importantly.... GO PATS 2016!

Well, OK. I enjoyed our conversation up until this point. What a silly way for you to end it.

Good to see Cam act humble and mature during the post game presser. /sarcasm. And there's Swagtastic the Cam apologist right on cue. Cam Newton showed the entire world what he's about yesterday. When he's winning, he's all about the dabbing and dancing and such but lose and lose badly and he takes his ball and goes home. It told me a lot about him. He wouldn't know humility if it kicked him in the crotch. Watch the other QB's in the league. Win or lose they take it like men. Hell, Scott Norwood missed a FG that would have won his team the Super Bowl but did he skulk away and cover his face in a hoodie? No, he sat at his locker with the media around him 30 deep and took questions like a man. You want humility in victory or defeat? Look at Von Miller last night. The guy plays the game of his life, is named Super Bowl MVP, and gives credit to his teammates. That's what a professional does. But not Cam. It's all "LOOK AT ME" when things are going well but lose and he skulks off like a scolded child.

Oh, and it warmed my heart watching Josh Norman crying like a little girl in defeat. This was the same guy, along with his smug teammates, who, during the NFC Championship game not only rubbed the Cards' noses in it by going for 2 while up by 30 but who were mugging for the camera, taking team photos, dancing around, before the game was over. Karma is a ***** fellas and you felt it in spades. Great how things go from this:

    To this:

I'm never this vindictive but this is what all of that dabbing, Superman, and that other garbage begets. Karma is a cruel mistress and the Panthers found this out the hard way. Will they be back? Probably but things tend to go awry for the Super Bowl loser the following year. I'd like to hope this was a learning experience for them but I doubt it but if you're going to rub another team's nose in it, expect the same in return when you're on the wrong end and don't complain when it does.

Am I the only one that thinks if it wasn't the whole Peyton Manning thing, this Superbowl is totally forgettable. A few days out and the whole event was pretty blah.

The National Anthem: Good, Lady Gaga did better than I thought she would.

The Halftime: Horrible, just absolutely horrible. Mics so muted that it made all the songs sound a like( or maybe thats just Coldplay). If it wasn't for Bruno Mars or Beyonce it would have been totally unsalvageable. Like top 10 worst ever.

The Commercials: Overall good. A lot of good move trailers and one disturbing (puppy baby monkey )

The game itself: Boring... For the life of me I can't remember any play sans this one,

Only because it made me laugh.:D

Better watch. The Newton apologist will admonish you for it. That play right there showed you Cam Newton in a nutshell. This generation's Ricky Watters. In case you forgot who Ricky Watters is, when he was an Eagle he alligator armed a pass over the middle and when asked about it during the post game presser(the Eagles ended up losing to a very horrible Bucs team), his response was, "For who, for what?".
