Zoe max ruining your double xp weekend?

    But isn't that how it is supposed to happen? Your guys chased and then squared up against opposing armour; you should lose. If the Vanu were able to pull fresh MAX units, why weren't the NC?

    From the sounds of it I think that the NC were warpgated at that point so they probably had barely any resources.

    Except the NC MAX, Mattocks with slugs is about on par with other factions defaults at medium range if you get lucky with the slugs.

    We already know this, why do you think infantry don't stick atound when they see any MAX? Yet you can't escape from ZOE speed SMG you need to be able too so you can deal with the MAX indirectly. The ZOE let's the MAX force direct conflict with infantry that can't deal with it directly but can also let's it selectvily avoid all genuine threats.

    get two basic NC max shotguns big mag and the sludge ammo...this gives you an NC max with a range equal to the VS max but you kill infantry in two shots. ZOE goes down really fast to XD

    No. Zoe max can kill TR and NC Maxes on 1vs1 if you use infantry guns. Zoe max can be only killed successfully with flak.

    I dislike Z.O.E. Max Units as much as the next Terran, but I wish that the only thing that would be changed is a cool down on being able to run fast.

    I think the Max units are the best cross faction balanced class in the game if the VS Max did not only trade a bit of health for 2 great features.

    Yep and on top of that the tank point I was just stating what happened, two of our MAX'es over extended (me included) trying to kill the two BR 100 vanu MAX'es that had run off.
    Mainly because they hadn't properly died since the amp station were they first pulled them and I really just wanted them to stop.
    The rest of our MAX'es retreated to the point were we got wiped by a fresh MAX crash from the vanu being backed up by the two BR 100 blueshift ZOE MAX'es who were back fully repaired.
    None of us had MAX'es available off cooldown and I could barely afford a sticky grenade let alone another MAX, I personally had burned through most of my stash of C4 attempting to remove them for the last few bases but with over 3 covering eachothers backs meant I was never successful.

    It isn't a "bit of health" when you get hit with a rocket though, or multiple sources hit you are the same time, or both. That is then a "crapton of health" or "death" as we like to call it.

    *facepalm* As I said you can't compare to NC MAX weapons because of weapon characteristics they are too different to draw parallels. By "NC grade" I meant the NC faction characteristic of high damage per shot. Nowhere did I mention "one shotting".
    A VS MAX has relatively high mag capacity, coupled with high damage grade and considerable rate of fire with a bit more accuracy thrown in for the mix. That alone creates a weapon system that is far superior in AI then anything TR or NC has in the medium and long (by MAX standards) range department. Yes, NC's outclasses everything in short range but that is their shtick. That's what these weapon were made for and they have no other task they are good at. VS weapons are simply far more effective in more situations, they are more versatile then anything TR and NC can put out. And that is even BEFORE you count ZOE into the mix.

    No one can seriously deny that 167 damage per bullet is high damage class for non-shotgun and non-sniper weapon. And half the VS MAX AI weapons are of that damage class. And ZOE only balloons this by boosting damage even FURTHER with the added mobility creating, in essence a super-charged heavy assault, dual-wielding God Saws.

    If I were running a MAX against two people who were doing that I would just turn around and shoot the C4 guy as soon as I realise he isn't doing something other than shooting at me or running away. You also greatly overestimate the TTK with a VS MAX in close quarters, the first one would likely drop dead before the second one could even leave your FOV.

    Honestly, if I had my say in the design of this game I would make MAXes a pure anti-vehicle class/heavy weapons platform and terrible/unwieldy versus infantry. Too many times I think perfectly fun infantry fights have been ruined by MAXes, simply because they're a straight up force multiplier in close quarters combat that can navigate around the cover that infantry typically uses to avoid other force multipliers like tanks and air, and take little more effort than saving the resources to pull one.

    I can only imagine how god damn annoying ZOE must be as infantry since you can't run away from it nearly as easily, I love using it in open field battles to move between cover quickly while taking out tanks or as a travel mode to cross open ground, but it is absurdly easy to rack up infantry kills with that thing activated.

    That's not the zoe problem. Why are you saying this? Its the same case with hax maxes and puppet maxes.

    He's saying that even in the miraculous feat that you manage to kill a ZOE or two they will get back up in no time.
    You must consider that the VS deploy a way higher number of MAXs compared to the TR / NC, so they pretty much cover each other and even if one falls another is already there to take it's place while the other is revived, teamplay tactics?
    Nope, sheer amount of MAX suits per every hex the VS holds.

    It feels more frustrating to have an enemy ZOE revived as it takes much more effort (aka impossibru) to take one down compared to the other faction MAX (e.g. NC/TR), thus the feature of reviving MAXs is much more boring when applied to VS MAXs.

    I like ZOE maxes. Scary, and dramatic. We need more of it.

    Besides, they're pretty easy to kill if you keep your cap screwed on straight.

    I'm just sick of the VS entirely. Tired of the pop disadvantage and their goddamn Maxes. Prolly time to move on from this VS Dev loving game

    Actually ZOE is making my XP weekend, on my VS its racking up kills, on my NC they are glowing balls of XP waiting for a decimator.
    Great fun on both sides.
