"ZOE is 5% damage increase" Who are you kidding?

    Well seems you fail to see that this is a team-game and 1v1 rarely happens nor should it really happen, also you would not win in a straight fight against any other max, you need to adapt to how the ZOE changes the max's combat vectors, they are much easier to kill and the fail to react for half a second against and flanking threat results in the death of the ZOE max, not every enemy is the same enemy and just apply different tactics accordingly.

    See my calculation muppets, It's not 20% it's 0.15 to 0.2 seconds less on ttk, assuming 30% accuracy. which dare I say many of the QQers in this thread probably do not have. that works out at ~15% on infantry. In any case it doesn't shift ttks for these infantry guns into new untouched realms, it makes them overlap each other, with the nebula slipping into the lowest ttk at 1.2 seconds. 1.2 seconds longer than a pump action ttk, 3 times longer than a CQC carbine or semi auto shotgun, 2.5 times as long as a LMG.....yea super OP.

    So one MAX takes a team to kill but the other MAXes do not. How is this balanced?

    If you can take out NC and TR MAXes with your fully decked out HA.. (I can do it with my default TR guy)
    Then you can certainly take out a VS ZOE MAX. At least, my default newbie one can..

    Really, just shot it. An infiltrator can kill one....

    But it takes a decimator + almost ten rounds from LMG. ZOE enables you to be able to run away.

    That isn't at all what I sad, I said you can't win a straight fight with ANY max, as he kills you faster than you kill him (even with a deci)

    The next part of what I said is that you need to attack from a different angle and flank it, each enemy is a different enemy.

    I've solo killed a number of ZOE maxes today as a medic, so either adjust your strategy or roll with a squad.

    Lastly Maxes aren't even meant to be solo'ed so your complaint isn't even really considered as such when you take into account how things in this TEAM game are balanced.

    But they're not team balanced when I can take on other MAXes head-on 1v1 but I can't take on VS MAX. Right now all I can do against a ZOE MAX is to concuss it and hope it doesn't look towards me. With other MAXes I can concuss them and let them face towards me.

    Sigh, people don't understand math. Here is an example why a 5% increase in damage can be huge:

    Say you have a target who has 1000 hp. Also say you have a gun that does 142 damage. If you fire 7 times, your target has 6 hp left. If you fire an 8th time, your target dies.

    Now suppose you increase your gun's damage by 1%. So now you are doing 142*1.01=143.42 damage per bullet.

    If you fire 7 times, your target has -3 hp left, instead of the previous 6 hp. This means your gun kills in 7 hits instead of 8.

    A 1% increase in gun damage results in a (7-8)/8= -12.5% change in TTK time.

    In other words, a 1% increase in gun damage results in a 12.5% increase in actual damage.

    It cannot be said enough. ONE. EXTRA. BULLET. That's all LEVEL FIVE zealot engine allows for.

    The biggest buff (the only buff, really) to the max is SPEED at the cost of damage taken. And SPEED is something the Sovereignty should get. We heard the 'l2p' cry from people like you when scat maxes and prowler spam was in season, try it on for size now.

    Also, pretend that 1000HP thing is being healed/repaired.
    1% is 1%..

    Yeah, I ignored the parts where you display your incapability of holding a discussion about the topic of how ZOE MAX is far more difficult to take on head-on. Your different tactics: you're saying is that one MAX takes a team to take down. How is this balanced?

    so VS gets something half decent again... let's see how long it takes before it gets nerfed while the other factions get to keep their toys as usual.

    Difference with before: there's 10x the ammount of VS maxes atm and they're being played by suicidal infantry men... ie they run up into your face and chase you around corners where even the cosmos can get a few hits.
    Guess what.. a TR max can lock down a corridor/room and make me not even want to poke my head around the corner and a NC max can tank anything including tank shells and decimators we can throw at him, get close and hack down my entire squad with 1 shot kills just like he did before.

    You're not supposed to 1v1 a max just like you're not supposed to be able to take out a tank with a knife. Welcome to Planetside... we're getting there!

    Half decent? Guess whether this "half decent" ability shows the VS MAX having over 20% higher average XP/hour than TR or NC MAX when someone pulls the numbers from API.
    I'm not supposed to, but I can take head-on other faction's MAX units. I can not take head-on a VS MAX. How is this balanced?

    Yeah that's a great way to balance the game :rolleyes:! What about when Magriders were spamming the Saron from the top of mountains they had climbed? Does this mean TR get OP next and then NC in a never ending cycle? I've only encountered 1 ZOE max so far and it seemed pretty ridiculous to me but I will reserve judgement until I have played gu09 a bit more this weekend.
